Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
Effectiveness and safety profiling of zolpidem and acupressure in CKD associated pruritus: An interventional study.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD)-associated pruritus (CKD-aP) contributes to poor quality of life, including reduced sleep quality and poor sleep quality is a source of patient stress and is linked to lower health-related quality of life. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of zolpidem 10 mg and acupressure therapy on foot acupoints to improve the sleep quality and overall quality of life among hemodialysis patients suffering from CKD-aP. ⋯ An improvement in sleep quality and quality of life among CKD-aP patients on hemodialysis has been observed in both the control and intervention groups. Zolpidem and acupressure safety profiling showed no severe adverse effect other that drowsiness, nausea and daytime sleeping already reported in literature of zolpidem.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Pragmatic Clinical Trial
First open-label, single-arm, prospective study of real-world use of FIX replacement therapy in a predominantly pediatric hemophilia B population in China.
Nonacog alfa (recombinant factor IX [FIX]) is approved in China for the control and prevention of bleeding events in patients with hemophilia B. This was the first study to assess prophylaxis and on-demand therapy with recombinant FIX replacement in a real-world setting in China. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of nonacog alfa in Chinese patients with hemophilia B. ⋯ In the real-world setting, nonacog alfa is safe and effective for on-demand treatment and for prophylaxis for patients with hemophilia B in China.

Effects of early mobilization on short-term blood pressure variability in acute intracerebral hemorrhage patients: A protocol for randomized controlled non-inferiority trial.
Early out-of-bed mobilization may improve acute post-intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) outcomes, but hemodynamic instability may be a concern. Some recent studies have showed that an increase in mean systolic blood pressure (SBP) and high blood pressure variability (BPV), high standard deviation of SBP, may lead to negative ICH outcomes. Therefore, we investigated the impact of an early mobilization (EM) protocol on mean SBP and BPV during the acute phase. ⋯ It is safe to implement the EM protocol within 24 to 72 hour of onset for mild-moderate ICH patients during the acute phase.

T2DM with NAFLD is a common disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism affecting the quality of life of patients. Due to the limitations and adverse reactions of drug treatment, acupuncture has been proved to be an effective method for the treatment of T2DM with NAFLD. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of NAFLD in T2DM class, and to provide high-quality evidence for acupuncture in the treatment of this disease. ⋯ This meta-analysis will further determine the beneficial efficacy and safety of acupuncture for T2DM combined with NAFLD.

Vascular dementia (VaD) is the second most common type of dementia; it has a significant impact on patients and exerts a great social and economic burden. However, there has been no comprehensive systematic review assessing the efficacy and safety of Buyang Huanwu-Tang (Boyang Hwano-Tang, BHT) for VaD. Therefore, this protocol was developed to conduct a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of BHT in the treatment of VaD. ⋯ 10.17605/OSF.IO/NDYGP.
