With the promotion of the concept of "minimally invasive" surgery, the advantages of laparoscopic surgery are increasingly manifested. However, the postoperative pain of laparoscopic surgery brings difficulties and challenges to patients' rehabilitation. Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) is a non-invasive treatment, which can exert the dual efficacy of acupuncture and electrical stimulation. The efficacy and safety of TEAS for postoperative pain after laparoscopy based on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) need to further evaluate. ⋯ This study can provide more comprehensive and strong evidence of whether TEAS is efficacy and safe for postoperative pain in laparoscopic surgery.

Treatments of unruptured brain arteriovenous malformations: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The best therapeutic option for unruptured brain arteriovenous malformations (bAVMs) patients is disputed. ⋯ We found that microsurgery might provide lasting clinical benefits in some unruptured bAVMs patients for its high obliteration rates and low hemorrhage. These findings are helpful to provide a reference basis for neurosurgeons to choose the treatment of patients with unruptured bAVMs.

Hypertension is a kind of cardiovascular syndrome with the main clinical manifestation of continuous increase of systemic arterial blood pressure. Hypertension coexists with other cardiovascular risk factors and is an important risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Acupuncture is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine intervention. The antihypertensive effect of acupuncture on hypertension is based on the neuroendocrine system, characterized by multichannel and multitarget. This study aims to provide latest and updated proof of systematic review to assess the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for hypertension. ⋯ INPLASY 202150047.

Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a new ultrasonic elastography technique for evaluating the hardness of living tissue by measuring the propagation velocity of shear wave in tissue, which is characterized by real-time, non-invasive and quantitative. The SWE technique can be used to diagnose the lesions of different tissues and organs, and the quantitative measurement of SWE is considered as more objective information about breast masses. Superb microvascular imaging (SMI) is a new noninvasive Doppler ultrasound imaging method, which can display blood flow information with high spatial resolution and high frame rate, while keeping the minimum low-speed blood flow components. Therefore, SMI can diagnose diseases closely related to angiogenesis at a relatively early stage. However, the results of these studies have been contradictory. The present meta-analysis aimed at determining the accuracy of SWE combined with SMI in the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant breast lesions. ⋯ INPLASY202150075.

Multicenter Study
Next-generation sequencing in thyroid cancers: do targetable alterations lead to a therapeutic advantage?: A multicenter experience.
Radioiodine-refractory thyroid cancers (IRTCs) are uncommon and have a poor prognosis. Treatment options for radioiodine-refractory and anaplastic tumors (ATCs) are limited. Although the genomic landscape of thyroid cancer has been studied, there is little evidence on whether next-generation sequencing (NGS) findings translate to tumor control. ⋯ Of 4 patients who achieved durable responses of 7 to 50 months, 2 are ongoing. The estimated median OS of IRTC receiving targeted treatment was not reached (CI95% 89.7-111.4 months) and was 77.8 months (CI95% 52.5-114.6) for patients treated conventionally (P = .3). NGS may detect clinically significant genetic alterations and benefit patients with advanced thyroid cancers.
