Case Reports
A case report of prenatal diagnosis of fetal alloimmune thrombocytopenia: A CARE-compliant article.
Fetal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FAIT) is a serious life-threatening disease caused by platelet-antigen incompatibility between the mother and fetus. FAIT can lead to fetal thrombocytopenia, intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), fetal death and severe neurological disorders after birth. Noninvasive prenatal diagnosis technology has not been widely used in China, and thus few cases of FAIT can be diagnosed prenatally. In this study, we report a case of prenatal diagnosis and treatment of FAIT. ⋯ For FAIT, the fetal umbilical cord puncture can be carried out by skilled fetal medical teams. Dexamethasone acetate tablets can be an alternative choice for patients from underdeveloped areas.

Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) most commonly occurs due to iatrogenic injury during surgery or obstructed labor. We report a rare case of a patient with severe pelvic organ prolapse who developed VVF even though pessary had not been used. ⋯ This case illustrates the point that patients with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) should be treated promptly and careful follow-up should be conducted. Clinicians should be aware of the symptoms of VVF to ensure its early diagnosis and treatment.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is one of the most disabling and destructive neurological diseases. Neurogenic bladder dysfunction (NBD) is one of the serious complications after SCI, 80% of patients after SCI will have neurogenic bladder symptoms. NBD after SCI may lead to urinary retention, urinary incontinence, and urinary tract infection. In severe cases, it can lead to renal failure or even death. NBD after SCI not only seriously affects the patient's quality of life but also physical and mental health. NBD after SCI is a social and medical problem. In recent years, more and more clinical studies prove that heat-sensitive can improve the clinical symptoms of NBD after SCI. Therefore, this article conducts a systematic evaluation and meta-analysis on the efficacy and safety of heat-sensitive moxibustion in treating NBD after SCI. ⋯ INPLASY202150071.

Multiple clinical trials have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of erythropoietin in improving neurodevelopmental outcomes in infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). It is undoubtedly urgent to include only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for more standardized systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The purpose of this study is to examine whether erythropoietin reduces the risk of death and improve neurodevelopmental disorders in infants with HIE. ⋯ 10.17605/OSF.IO/FERUS.

Globally, coronary heart disease (CHD) is a primary cause of morbidity leading to disabilities and mortality. Modern clinical practice adopts several pharmacological methods to treat CHD. Angina pectoris refers to sever chest pain due to CHD, it has a profound impact on the wellbeing of patients. Moreover, angina pectoris is a crucial prognosis predictor. The aim of the current study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safeness of using combined rosuvastatin and atorvastatin to treat CHD patients. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/VYBDR (https://osf.io/vybdr/).
