Observational Study
A new optical coherence tomography method for subfoveal choroidal thickness measurement: A single-center observational study.
Several macular pathologies are associated with choroidal vascular supply and thus require choroidal thickness evaluation. However, there is no standard subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) measurement method. This study investigated a new method of SFCT measurement, using optical coherence tomography. ⋯ The intraclass correlation coefficients of the SFCT angles were 0.647, 0.842, and 0.307, respectively (P < .001 for all). The new method showed the lowest interpersonal variability and could therefore be a reliable standard for SFCT measurement, even in foveae with a steep slope on optical coherence tomography. Trial registration: Not applicable.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an epidemic infectious disease resulted from 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Up till now, COVID-19 has swept globally. Currently, due to many high-profiled benefits, clinical studies on Toujie Quwen granule (TJQW) have been increasing. The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy and safety of TJQW used with conventional western therapy for COVID-19. ⋯ INPLASY202150038.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder characterized by the recurrence of abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits. Owing to the limitations of conventional treatments, patients with IBS are often dissatisfied with the effect of treatment and have a poor quality of life. Herbal medicines (HMs) are frequently used for the treatment of IBS. This protocol was designed through an overview of systematic reviews (SRs), to investigate the safety and efficacy of HMs for treating IBS. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/NT6WZ (https://osf.io/nt6wz).

In recent years, a variety of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) has been confirmed to be involved in the initiation and progression of osteosarcoma. Taurine-up regulated gene 1 (TUG1) plays an important role in the formation, invasion, and metastasis of osteosarcoma. Therefore, perhaps TUG1 is a potential biomarker for the prognosis of patients suffering from osteosarcoma. In this study, meta-analysis and bioinformatics were adopted to further explore the effects of TUG1 on the prognosis of patients with osteosarcoma and its potential molecular mechanism. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/CW4BF.

Observational Study
Cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of the Korean version of rehabilitation complexity scale for the measurement of complex rehabilitation needs.
The aim of this study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the Rehabilitation Complexity Scale-Extended version 13 (RCS-E v13) to develop the Korean version of the Rehabilitation Complexity Scale (KRCS), and to explore its reliability, and concurrent and construct validity. This research was an observational study of a series of consecutive rehabilitation inpatients who were previously assessed with KRCS and grouped with the Korean rehabilitation patient group version 1.1 (KRPG v1.1). Translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the RCS-E v13 were implemented according to internationally recognized standards. ⋯ The KRCS was associated with a higher explanatory power for rehabilitation resources and length of stay than the KRPG v1.1. Our data suggest that the KRCS is a feasible, reliable, and valid tool that is appropriate for the measurement of clinical complexity in Korean intensive rehabilitation units. Further, it may provide case-mix adjustment to improve the rehabilitation delivery system in Korea.
