Work-life balance (WLB) is an essential precursor of workers' mental health. The theory of rational emotive behaviour therapy proposes that an imbalance in work and family life may result from people's dysfunctional perceptions of their work and other aspects of their personal life. Also, the constructive philosophies of rational emotive behavior therapy are said to be congruent with most religious belief systems of Christian clients. Therefore, our research examined the efficacy of Christian religious rational emotive behaviour therapy (CRREBT) on WLB among administrative officers in Catholic primary schools. ⋯ CRREBT is an effective therapeutic strategy for managing WLB among Catholic school administrative officers.

Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a condition caused by a deficiency in pulmonary surfactant. Many interventions, including pulmonary surfactant, non-invasive respiratory support, and other supportive treatments have been used to prevent RDS. However, recent studies have focused on the continuous positive airway pressure as a significant potential agent for preventing RDS. However, its safety and effectiveness are yet to be assessed. To this end, the current study aims to perform to explore the safety and effectiveness of continuous positive airways in treating neonates with RDS. ⋯ May 20, 2021.osf.io/7nj8s. Phenotypic spectrum and mechanism analysis of Schaff Yang syndrome: A case report on new mutation of MAGEL2 gene.
The Schaaf-Yang syndrome (SYS) is an autosomal dominant multi-system genetic disease caused by melanoma antigen L2 (MAGEL2) gene mutations imprinted by mothers and expressed by fathers on the 15q11-15q13 chromosomes in the critical region of Prader-Willi. MAGEL2 is a single exon gene and one of the protein-coding genes of the Prader-Willi domain. MAGEL2 is a matrilineal imprinted gene (i.e., the maternal chromosome is methylated). It is only expressed by unmethylated paternal alleles, and the individual is affected only when the variation occurs on the paternal allele. ⋯ The pathogenesis of SYS is complex, involving multiple pathways such as Leptin-POMC, MAGEL2-USP7-TRIM27 complex and oxytocin. Our study has also found that certain fatal phenotypes such as respiratory distress have a high incidence at individual sites, and early detection and timely intervention may prolong the life span of patients. Therefore, for patients in whom SYS is highly suspected, gene detection should be carried out as soon as possible.

Spinal sarcopenia is a multifactorial disorder associated with the atrophy of and fatty changes to the paraspinal muscles. We previously developed the concept of spinal sarcopenia in community-dwelling older adults and investigated the association between conventional sarcopenic indices and spinal sarcopenia. However, interventional studies of spinal sarcopenia are lacking. This pilot study will aim to evaluate the effectiveness of a combined exercise and nutrition intervention for treating spinal sarcopenia. ⋯ This open-label single-arm prospective study will include 35 community-dwelling older women who were diagnosed with spinal sarcopenia in our previous cohort study. The 12-week combined intervention will consist of back extensor strengthening exercise and nutritional supplementation. The primary outcome of this study will be isometric back extensor strength after the 12-week intervention. All functional and radiographic outcomes will be measured at 0, 12, and 24 weeks post-intervention. The data will be analyzed using the intention-to-treat principle.

Observational Study
Prognostic value of the ALBI grade among patients with single hepatocellular carcinoma without macrovascular invasion.
Although evidence for the application of an albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) grading system to assess liver function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is available, less is known whether it can be applied to determine the prognosis of single HCC with different tumor sizes. This study aimed to address this gap. Here, we enrolled patients who underwent hepatectomy due to single HCC from 2010 to 2014. ⋯ The OS between ALBI grades 1 and 2 was comparable for patients who had a single tumor >7 cm. We showed that the ALBI grading system can predict disease outcomes in patients with a single HCC with a tumor size ≤7 cm. However, the ALBI grade may not predict the prognosis of patients with a single tumor >7 cm.
