Meta Analysis
The incidence rate of herpes zoster in inflammatory bowel disease: A meta-analysis of cohort studies.
Inflammatory bowel disease is associated with an increased risk of opportunistic infections. This study aimed to investigate the incidence rate of herpes zoster in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. A meta-analysis was conducted by searching PubMed literature published from January 2000 to July 2019. ⋯ Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis were associated with an increased risk of developing herpes zoster (IRR = 1.67, 95% CI = 1.40-1.98 for Crohn disease and IRR = 1.49, 95% CI = 1.34-1.65 for ulcerative colitis, respectively). Patients with inflammatory bowel disease are at increased risk of developing herpes zoster. We suggest that the vaccination should be considered at the time of inflammatory bowel disease being diagnosed.

Traditional Chinese medicine for acute coronary syndrome: A meta-analysis of clinical manifestations and objective indicators.
Modern clinical trials and experimental researches of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) have been conducted for decades and provided support for the prevention and treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). However the level of evidence and the proper application of TCM were still barely satisfactory. ⋯ TCM treatment is beneficial to different courses of ACS. To acquire more solid and comprehensive evidence of TCM in treating ACS, more rigorously designed randomized controlled trials with longer follow-up duration are warranted.

We sought to synthesize the evidence about aerobic exercise intervention during pulmonary rehabilitation, and to further explore the difference in rehabilitation effects between water and land-based aerobic exercise. This review's purpose is to provide a basis by which practitioners and therapists can select and create appropriate therapeutic programs. ⋯ Medium to high-quality evidence shows that aerobic exercise can effectively improve dyspnea and exercise capacity in COPD patients. Compared with land-based aerobic exercise, water-based aerobic exercise had a significant additional effect in improving the endurance exercise capacity of COPD patients.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a strong cause of global cancer mortality. Nucleotide excision repair (NER) can modulate platinum-based chemotherapeutic efficacy by removing drug-produced DNA damage. Some studies have found a link between excision repair cross complementation group 1 (ERCC1) rs2298881, one gene in NER pathway, and response to chemotherapy. However, the results have been disputed. ⋯ ERCC1 rs2298881 is suggested as a marker of clinical outcome in gastric cancer patients treated by platinum-based chemotherapy.

Multidimensional analyses of the effect of exercise on women with depression: A meta-analysis.
The proportion of women is higher than men in depression. This is mainly due to women's physiological regulation is different from men, especially in puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, among others. Therefore, treating depressive women is still a health challenge. Besides, recent studies of exercise therapy have a more outstanding performance in treating depression, especially in contrast to drug therapy and psychotherapy. Its main advantages are convenience, quickness, no side effects, real-time, and long-term effectiveness. ⋯ Exercise can significantly improve depressive symptoms in women.
