At present, increasing reports have shown that latent transforming growth factor-β-binding protein 2 (LTBP2) was associated with the prognosis of many types of cancer. We performed rounded analysis to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the prognostic significance of LTBP2 for patients with malignant tumors. ⋯ The present analysis suggested that LTBP2 may have significant association with survival of patients with cancer. High LTBP2 expression was an independent prognostic factor and indicated poor survival.

Thrombolysis after cardiopulmonary resuscitation in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is controversial. This case report describes a successful thrombolysis after resuscitation in delayed-diagnosis STEMI. ⋯ In patients with abdominal pain as the first presentation, a simple initial electrocardiogram may help reduce the risk of missed STEMI diagnosis. Thrombolysis after successful resuscitation is an effective treatment for these patients. However, the effects of thrombolysis after resuscitation remain unclear. The point of dispute lies in the effectiveness and safety of thrombolysis (primarily for bleeding). Prompt thrombolysis would lead to a better prognosis if spontaneous circulation can be restored within 10 minutes.

Cancer patients usually suffer from intensive chemotherapy-related oral mucositis (OM), yet limited effective treatment can rapidly alleviate OM severity. ⋯ Reishimmune-S supplement potentially alleviates the severity of chemotherapy-mediated OM.

The medication therapy management (MTM) pharmacists follow the philosophy of pharmaceutical care to address individualistic medication therapy requirements in their practice settings. The present study aimed to introduce the pharmacist-delivered MTM services among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at a tertiary care hospital in Nepal. Cross-sectional study was conducted at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur, Nepal, among 200 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from July to December 2019. ⋯ Both fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels were significantly associated with age (P-values <.000 for both), baseline symptom (P-values .012 and .003 respectively), and diet plan proposed (P-values .049 and .011 respectively). Maximum cases of drug interactions requiring close monitoring were between metformin and insulin regular (i.e., 11, 5.5%). This was a novel initiative of the MTM services in a resource constraint country like Nepal and can show a clue for the pharmacists targeting such services in other similar settings.

Prognostic role of SPRY4-IT1 in female breast carcinoma and malignant tumors of the reproductive system: A meta-analysis.
The prognostic value of SPRY4-Intronic transcript 1 (SPRY4-IT1) in women suffering from breast carcinoma and malignant tumors of the reproductive system remains to be ascertained. Therefore, this paper attempted to assess the relationship between SPRY4-IT1 with the clinicopathological indicators and survival analysis in women suffering from breast carcinoma and malignant tumors of their reproductive organs through meta-analysis. ⋯ Thus, this study provides evidence-based medical evidence for the target treatment of female breast carcinoma and malignant tumors of the reproductive system. The elevated level of SPRY4-IT1 was associated with poor prognosis of female breast cancer patients and of those having malignant tumors in their reproductive organs. In addition, the SPRY4-IT1 expression was also associated with the disease progression and metastasis.
