Case Reports
Imaging characteristics of slow-growing soft tissue chondroma of the tongue: A case report.
Extraskeletal soft tissue chondroma (STC) is a rare benign tumor. Soft-tissue chondromas rarely occur in the oral cavity. In this study, we aimed to confirm a slow-growing tongue mass using magnetic resonance imaging. ⋯ In this study, STC lesions were slow-growing, and changed from weakly homogeneous enhancement and clean margins to markedly heterogeneous enhancement and lobulated margins over time.

Observational Study
Observational studies: Ambient air pollution and hospitalization for RA-ILD in a heavily polluted city in China.
Little is known within the medical community about the impact of air pollution on hospital admissions due to rheumatoid arthritis associated with interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD). Our research aimed to explore whether there is a correlation and to estimate how the association was distributed across various lags in Jinan, China. The relationships between ambient air pollutant concentrations, including PM2.5, PM10, sulfur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and monthly hospitalizations for RA-ILD were studied by employing a general linear model with a Poisson distribution. ⋯ The monthly admissions of RA-ILD increased by 0.875% (95% CI: 0.375-1.377%), 0.548% (95% CI: 0.148-0.949%), 1.968% (95% CI: 0.869-3.080%), and 1.534% (95% CI: 0.305-2.778%) for each 10 μg/m3 increase in PM2.5, PM10, SO2 and NO2, respectively. This study might add more detailed evidence that higher levels of PM2.5, PM10, SO2 and NO2 increase the risk of hospitalizations for RA-ILD. Further study of the role of air pollution in the pathogenesis of RA-ILD is warranted.

An increasing number of studies have demonstrated the bidirectional hemostatic effect of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) on the risk of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases. However, no previous study has focused on the relationship between SSRI and the risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD) in diabetes mellitus (DM). We sought to evaluate the association between SSRIs and the PAD risk in individuals with DM. ⋯ These findings were consistent with all sensitivity analyses (i.e., age, sex, SSRI doses, antithrombotic medication use, and medical and psychiatric comorbidities). In this study, we found that there was no significant difference of PAD risk between DM with SSRI users and DM with SSRI non-users. DM with SSRI user did not affect PAD risk across any SSRI dose, age, sex, antithrombotic medications, and multiple comorbidities in the subgroup analysis.

Shear wave elastography and strain elastography are two new ultrasonic techniques developed rapidly in recent years. Changes in tissue elasticity occur after normal tissue changes. Elastography technique transforms the elastic information of tissue into optical information for display. Thus more intuitive display of tissue elasticity. Due to the differences in principles and related imaging parameters between the two elastic imaging methods, and the acquisition and interpretation of image data in strain elastic imaging method largely depends on the experience of inspectors, and due to the significant differences between the techniques of inspectors, As a result, conflicting results have been obtained in different scholars' studies on the accuracy comparison of the two elastography techniques in the diagnosis of breast tumors. This meta-analysis aims to compare the accuracy of the two elastography methods in the diagnosis of breast tumors, so as to provide more accurate diagnostic means for patients with breast tumors. The final results will show which elastography method is more accurate in the diagnosis of breast tumors, reduce unnecessary biopsies and provide a reference for clinical decision making. ⋯ This study was not funded. Review Case Reports
Traumatic testicular dislocation: A case report and literature review.
Traumatic testicular dislocation is an uncommon complication of blunt scrotal injury and is easily overlooked because of the presence of other severe accompanying injuries. In most cases, an operation is needed for the prevention of malignant change or infertility. ⋯ We suggest scrotum examination in all trauma patients, particularly if a pelvic injury is suspected or in case of a high risk of a motorcycle collision, to avoid missing the diagnosis and prevent severe complications.
