Miller Fisher syndrome after COVID-19 vaccination: Case report and review of literature.
Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) is a rare variant of Guillain-Barre syndrome, classically diagnosed based on the clinical triad of ataxia, areflexia, and ophthalmoplegia. MFS is usually preceded by viral infections and febrile illness; however, only a few cases have been reported after vaccinations. ⋯ This case suggests that MFS is a rare adverse effect after COVID-19 vaccination and additional research is required to substantiate a temporal association. Further studies are needed to understand the pathophysiology behind such complications to enhance the safety of COVID-19 vaccinations in the future.

Lymphoepithelial cyst in the palatine tonsil: A case report and literature review.
Lymphoepithelial cyst of the oral cavity is very rare. Most intraoral lymphoepithelial cysts are observed in the floor of the mouth and very few cases have been reported of its occurrence in the palatine tonsil. ⋯ Lymphepithelial cysts of the palatine tonsils are extremely rare and are easily overlooked because there are few reported cases. Therefore, care must be taken when examining the tonsil mass.

Several studies have shown an association between sarcopenia and clinical outcomes in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). However, studies have shown different results, and the association between prognosis and wasting conditions in pediatric patients with CD is uncertain. In this study, we evaluated the clinical significance of wasting in pediatric CD patients. ⋯ Interestingly, since the site of CD involvement and other markers for nutrition did not correlate with wasting syndrome, wasting appears to be a marker for the severity of pediatric CD. Lastly, the wasting group tended to have a greater use of biologic therapy after first-line therapy failed to improve wasting syndrome. Wasting syndrome, including sarcopenia, can serve as a marker for the severity of pediatric CD.

The effect of renal dysfunction on clinical outcomes following fractional flow reserve (FFR)-guided deferral of revascularization remains unelucidated. We retrospectively analyzed 224 patients with atherosclerotic coronary lesions who underwent deferred revascularization based on an FFR of >0.80. The median follow-up interval was 28.1 months. ⋯ Kaplan-Meier estimates revealed that the HD group showed a significantly lower MACE-free survival rate than the nonHD group (log-rank P < .01). In non-HD patients, the eGFR<45 group showed a lower MACE-free survival rate than the eGFR ≥45 group (log-rank P = .01). HD and reduced eGFR in non-HD patients were associated with adverse cardiac events after FFR-guided deferral of revascularization.

Coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) emerged in December 2019, causing significant changes in people's social lives and other human activities. The outbreak halted educational activities throughout the world. The Nigerian experience was unique in that most people were skeptical about the pandemic's existence. ⋯ This implies that the correlation matrix for the C19PS is not an identity matrix. It was revealed that C19PS had good overall reliability (α = .896) and model fit (Root mean square error of approximation = .042, comparative fit index = .943) in a sample of Nigerian preschool practitioners. As a result, C19PS was recommended as a trustworthy tool for identifying persons who suffer from COVID-19 phobia.
