Meta Analysis
Superb microvascular imaging for distinguishing thyroid nodules: A meta-analysis (PRISMA).
Earlier studies have shown that the superb microvascular imaging (SMI) can detect tumor angiogenesis to distinguish thyroid nodules, but there is no systematic review. This meta-analysis aimed to identify the accuracy of ultrasound SMI for the diagnosis of thyroid nodules. ⋯ INPLASY202080084.

The U. S. public health response to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been widely criticized as having downplayed the potential implications COVID-19 could have on one's personal health. Despite the unprecedented threat of COVID-19, many individuals still believed that it was not at all likely that they would become infected. ⋯ In multivariable analyses, compared to White participants, Latinx participants were significantly more likely to be non-responders and report low likelihood of perceived susceptibility (Risk Ratio [RR]: 3.46; 95% confidence interval: 1.19, 10.1), as were Black participants (RR: 5.49; 95% confidence interval: 2.19, 13.8). A year into the COVID-19 pandemic, 1 out of 11 participants persistently did not think they might be susceptible and potentially infected. Future studies are needed to understand reasons why certain individuals, particularly those of racial/ethnic minorities, did not perceive themselves at risk for infection.

Granulocytic sarcoma (GS) is an uncommon extramedullary tumor, and involvement of the female reproductive system is very rare. ⋯ Although GS of the reproductive system is rare, it should be included in the differential diagnosis of gynecological neoplasms and should be treated with AML-type chemotherapy protocols.

Review Case Reports
A rare cause of persistent leukocytosis with massive splenomegaly: Myeloid neoplasm with BCR-PDGFRA rearrangement-Case report and literature review.
Persistent leukocytosis with megalosplenia is a common manifestation among patients with myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), especially for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients. Here, we report a rare case of myeloid neoplasm with BCR-PDGFRA rearrangement characterized by obvious elevation of leukocyte count and megalosplenia. ⋯ This case suggests that rare PDGFA fusion genes screening for patients comorbid with leukocytosis and megalosplenia is necessary to avoid misdiagnosis. Unlike other rearrangements of PDGFRA, the clinical manifestations of BCR-PDGFRA rearrangement are resembling CML without eosinophilia increase.

Menstrual migraine (MM) has a longer duration and higher drug resistance than non-perimenstrual migraine. Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and CGRP receptors are expressed in the peripheral and central nervous systems throughout the trigeminovascular system. The CGRP/CGRP receptor axis plays an important role in sensory physiology and pharmacology. ⋯ We then discuss the role of CGRP receptor antagonists and anti-CGRP mAbs in MM treatment. Finally, we discuss the role of the combination of anti-CGRP mAbs and CGRP receptor antagonists in migraine treatment and the drugs that inhibit CGRP release. Altogether, the anti-CGRP mAbs or CGRP receptor antagonists showed good efficacy and safety in the treatment of MM.
