The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the lives of people globally, including pregnant women. We aimed to explore the influence of a psychological care intervention based on behavioral change theory on the prenatal mental state and mode of delivery in pregnant women from June 2020 to June 2022 during the early stage of the COVID-19 epidemic in China. A retrospective analysis was conducted of the records of pregnant women who delivered in our hospital from June 2020 to June 2022. ⋯ The duration of the first stage of labor and the total duration of labor in the observation group were 447.95 ± 53.45 minutes and 498.15 ± 35.14 minutes, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group. The implementation of psychological care based on behavioral change theory in pregnant women during the early stage of the COVID-19 epidemic significantly improved their prenatal psychological state, promoted vaginal delivery, and help shorten the labor process, and reduce the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. This intervention is thus worth promoting.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, junior students who had recently entered university may have experienced particular difficulties. This study aimed to investigate the incidence of anxiety, depression, and sleep status among junior college students during school closure. Junior college students from 3colleges in Anhui Province participated in this study from 6th to 20th April, 2022. ⋯ Notably, medical specialty was an independent risk factor for depression and anxiety (anxiety: OR 1.367, 95% CI 1.078-1.734; depression: OR 1.289, 95% CI 1.148-1.448). Moreover, being a freshman was a risk factor for increased depression and insomnia (depression: OR 1.036,95% CI 0.931-1.153; insomnia: (OR 1.157,95% CI 0.961-1.394). The findings indicate that a considerable portion of junior college students experienced psychological problems due to lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Posterior wall comminuted fractures of the acetabulum are typically caused by high-energy trauma, and the complex anatomical structure of the acetabulum makes their treatment challenging. However, reports of the treatment of fresh acetabular fractures combined with femoral head necrosis are extremely rare. ⋯ The application of 3D printing technology in acetabular internal fixation and total hip arthroplasty is helpful for fracture assessment, facilitates smooth surgery, promotes fracture reduction and healing, restores hip joint function, and ensures a high level of safety.

The study aims to investigate the potential action targets and molecular mechanisms of Simiao Yongan decoction (SMYAD) in treating diabetic peripheral vascular disease (DPVD) by utilizing network pharmacology analysis and molecular docking technology. The components and targets of SMYAD were screened using the TCMSP database, while DPVD-related genes were obtained from the GeneCards, OMIM, and Disgenet databases. After intersecting the gene sets, a Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) network was established, and Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses were carried out. ⋯ The molecular docking results demonstrate that the principal chemical components of SMYAD exhibit considerable potential for binding to the core targets. SMYAD has the potential to treat DPVD through various components, targets, and pathways. Its mechanism of action requires further experimental investigation.

There are many disagreements about the merits of navigation in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We compared and analyzed the difference in the accuracy of femoral resection according to the degree of lateral femoral bowing in 2 surgical methods (conventional and navigation-assisted TKA). A total of 238 (100 who underwent navigation TKA and 138 who underwent conventional TKA from 2016 to 2021) were included in this study. ⋯ In the case of navigation-assisted TKA, the accuracy of femur resection was consistent regardless of the degree of lateral femoral bowing. However, in conventional TKA, the outlier of femur resection increased as lateral femoral bowing increased. Especially, for patients with lateral femoral bowing >5°, navigation-assisted TKA allows for more accurate femur resection compared to conventional TKA.
