After entering the new millennium, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) is rapidly developing as an emerging technology worldwide. Expanding the spectrum of CAD-related diseases is a possible future research trend. Nevertheless, bibliometric studies in this area have not yet been reported. This study aimed to explore the hotspots and frontiers of research on CAD from 2000 to 2023, which may provide a reference for researchers in this field. ⋯ Expanding the spectrum of CAD-related diseases is a possible future research trend. How to overcome the lack of large sample datasets and establish a universally accepted standard for the evaluation of CAD system performance are urgent issues for CAD development and validation. In conclusion, this paper provides valuable information on the current state of CAD research and future developments.

There is a strong association between obesity and coronary artery disease (CAD). Obesity is measured using traditional obesity parameters, such as body mass index, body adiposity index, waist circumference (WC), and hip circumference. The aim of this study is to explore the association between traditional obesity parameters and the length of stay (LOS) among hospitalized CAD patients. ⋯ Age, WC, triglycerides, and high- sensitivity C-reactive protein were all positive predictors of the total hospital LOS among hospitalized patients with CAD. The WC, age, triglycerides, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels were significantly positively associated with total LOS. Healthcare providers, including nurses, should take into account these significant positive predictors of LOS to achieve better health outcomes and improve patient satisfaction.

Knowledge, attitude and practices towards surgical wound care and healing among the public in the Jazan Region, Saudi Arabia.
The purpose of this research was to evaluate how much the people in the Jazan region know about the care and healing of surgical wounds. Proper care of surgical wounds is very important to achieve the best treatment outcomes and to avoid negative consequences. However, factors like obesity, diabetes, and certain medications can impair wound healing, with surgical site infections being a major problem in the healthcare system. ⋯ The participants in this study had high overall knowledge regarding surgical wounds but lacked particular knowledge concerning surgical site infection and wound management. Medical education was discovered to be a strong predictor of having a high level of knowledge about surgical site infection and wound management. Healthcare professionals should take the lead in giving accurate and reliable information regarding wound care techniques to patients, and legislators should invest in enhancing medical education quality.

The increasing use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for treating malignant tumors result in the concomitant rise of immune-related adverse events (irAEs). This case report may provide useful insight to understanding the etiology of ICI-induced hypophysitis, a severe irAE leading to potentially fatal secondary adrenal insufficiency. ⋯ This case provides a detailed course of the fulminant onset of ACTH deficiency during ICI administration, emphasizing the importance of close monitoring.
