Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 11 (LRP11) was involved in the progression of several tumors. However, its role in cervical cancer still remains uncertain. ⋯ LRP11 was a potential oncogene and prognostic marker in cervical cancer and pan-cancer. Patients with high LRP11 expression may have immune desert tumor microenvironment.

Impending central retinal vein occlusion and granulomatous uveitis in a patient with Satoyoshi syndrome.
Satoyoshi syndrome is a rare systemic autoimmune disease that presents with painful muscle spasms. We report a case of impending central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) secondary to granulomatous pan-uveitis in a 32-year-old woman with Satoyoshi syndrome. ⋯ Unilateral granulomatous pan-uveitis and impending CRVO were observed in this patient. Several cases of Satoyoshi syndrome complicated by various autoimmune or immunological disorders have been reported. However, to the best of our knowledge, no reports of Satoyoshi syndrome presenting with uveitis or CRVO have been published. Physicians should consider uveitis as a complication of Satoyoshi syndrome.

Thyroid cancer (TC) is one of the growing cancers and is prone to recurrence. Meanwhile, in immunotherapy, antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) phagocytosis related regulators (PRs) play an important role. This study aims to investigate the prognostic value of specific PRs in TC. ⋯ For the purpose of prognostic management, this study developed a prediction model. And the cross-talk between certain PRs and TC patients was revealed in this study. Besides, the PRs-signature can predict the immunotherapy response, macrophage content, and ADCP status. TC patients will benefit from these developments by gaining insight into novel therapeutic strategies.

Fatty acid metabolism is an essential part of cancer research due to its role in cancer initiation and progression. However, its characteristics and prognostic value in rectum adenocarcinoma have not been systematically evaluated. We collected fatty acid metabolism gene expression profiles and clinical information from the cancer genome atlas and gene expression omnibus databases. ⋯ The independent hazard ratio of the model was 2.72 and the area under curve was higher than age, gender and tumor stage, showing better predictive efficacy. Our study revealed the heterogeneity of fatty acid metabolism in rectum adenocarcinoma, defined 2 completely distinct subtypes of fatty acid metabolism, and finally established a novel fatty acid metabolism-related risk prognostic model. The study contributes to the early risk assessment and monitoring of individual prognosis and provides data to support individualized patient treatment.

The objective of this study was to explore the relevant factors affecting the 5-year survival rate of patients after radical colon cancer surgery, and to provide some basis for improving the quality of life and prognosis of colon cancer patients. The clinical data of 116 colon cancer patients who underwent treatment in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2017 were retrospectively selected. Using the date of performing surgical treatment as the starting point and the completion of 5 years after surgery or patient death as the end point, all patients were followed up by telephone to count the 5-year survival rate and analyze the influence of each factor with the prognosis of colon cancer patients. ⋯ Multivariate logistic analysis showed that distant metastasis (odds ratio [OR]: 1.932, 95% confidence intervals [CI]: 1.272-2.934, P = .002), lymph node metastasis (OR: 1.219, 95% CI: 1.091-1.362, P < .001), and obstruction (OR: 1.970, 95% CI: 1.300-2.990, P < .001) were significant independent risk factors affecting the prognosis in patients after radical colon cancer surgery. In summary, preoperative obstruction, lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis are independent factors influencing 5-year survival rate after radical colon cancer surgery. Patients with risk factors should be followed up more closely and reasonable postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy regimens should be used to improve long-term survival.
