Bilateral medial medullary infarction with intravenous thrombolytic therapy: A case report.
Bilateral medial medullary infarction is a rare stroke subtype. To investigate its clinical manifestations, etiology, imaging features and thrombolytic effect, We here in reported a patient with acute ischemic stroke in the bilateral medial medullary and reviewed the related literatures. ⋯ Diffusion weighted imaging can assist in the early diagnosis of bilateral medial medullary infarction, which will help in the decision to proceed with intravenous thrombolysis therapy. High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging should be improved as soon as possible, which can provide basis for the next intravascular interventional therapy.

The management of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has improved dramatically over the past 3 decades and is evolving. Percutaneous coronary intervention is an alternative means of achieving coronary revascularization. Previous studies comparing the published literature on drug-coated balloon (DCB) and drug-eluting stents have drawn divergent conclusions. We perform a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the efficacy and safety of DCB and drug-eluting stent in the management of AMI. ⋯ The results of the study will provide the evidence for the application of DCB in the treatment of AMI.

Successful treatment of a gravida with acute type A aortic dissection in the third trimester: A case report.
Acute type A aortic dissection is a rare and catastrophic complication of pregnancy with a very high mortality rate for both the mother and the fetus. ⋯ Type A aortic dissection during pregnancy is a rare event that carries a high risk of death for both mother and fetus. An optimal outcome can be achieved through early and accurate diagnosis, safe imaging techniques, timely and effective multidisciplinary discussion, and precise and individualized treatment.

Swallowing disorder is a common sequela after recovery from COVID-19. Acupuncture is an important traditional therapy for treating swallowing disorder. However, the efficacy of acupuncture for swallowing disorder after recovery from COVID-19 lacks evidence-based medicine. ⋯ Our findings will provide a reference for future clinical decisions and guidance development.

This study aimed to formulate reliable nomograms for predicting the outcomes of α-fetoprotein (AFP)-negative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after chemotherapy. HCC patients with normal AFP expression who received chemotherapy were screened and evaluated from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database. The prognostic factors for predicting outcomes of HCC patients undergoing chemotherapy were chosen by analyzing the results of Cox analyses. ⋯ The validation groups produced AUC values of 0.674 and 0.736 for 3- and 5-year OS, which were superior to those of the TNM stage (0.601 and 0.637) in validation groups. The results revealed significantly unfavorable OS in the high-risk group (P < .001). Nomograms to accurately predict the OS for AFP-negative HCC patients after chemotherapy were established and exhibited a more accurate predication than the conventional TNM staging system.
