We compared the therapeutic effect of catheter direct thrombolysis (CDT) and peripheral venous thrombolysis (PVT) for patients with acute pulmonary embolism (APE). Totally, 74 patients with APE were enrolled, including 37 in the CDT group and 37 in the PVT group. The changes in clinical indicators pre and posttreatment were observed. ⋯ The bleeding incidence in the CDT group was significantly lower than that in the PVT group (P < .05). The median survival time in the CDT group was significantly longer than that in the PVT group (P < .05). CDT can more effectively improve symptoms, cardiac function, and survival rate of APE patients while reducing bleeding incidence than PVT, and thus is safe and effective in treating APE.

The efficacy of vericiguat for heart failure: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
The efficacy of vericiguat was elusive for heart failure. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the efficacy of vericiguat for heart failure. ⋯ Vericiguat treatment may benefit to treat heart failure.

Bioresorbable scaffolds (BVS) provide a transient supporting force for blocked vessels and allow them to return to previous physiological characteristics. After verification with twists and turns, it has been acknowledged as an emerging revolution in percutaneous coronary intervention that expresses the current concept of intervention without placement. Through this bibliometric study, we organized the knowledge structure of bioresorbable scaffolds and attempted to predict future research hotspots in this field. ⋯ In the first visualized bibliometric analysis of BVS, we attempt to provide a panoramic view. By enrolling extensive literature, we review the growing trend of BVSs. Since its first introduction, it has been through periods of early prosperity, questioned safety subsequently and the resultantly advanced techniques in recent years. In future, the research should focus on utilizing novel techniques to consummate the manufacturing quality and assure the safety of BVSs.

Diagnostic accuracy of circulating exosomal circRNAs in malignances: A meta-analysis and systematic review.
Pathogenesis of malignant tumors are often accompanied by aberrant expression of circular RNAs (circRNAs), indicating the potential diagnostic value of circRNAs in tumors. CircRNAs have been found to be enriched, stable and ubiquitous in serum and plasma exosomes. The study aims at evaluating the diagnostic performance of circulating (plasma and serum) exosomal circRNA in different types of cancer by synthesis of published data. ⋯ In conclusion, our study evaluated the diagnostic power of circulating exosomal circRNAs in 6 types of cancer by synthesis of published data comprising 21 studies from eleven articles. The pooled analysis provided the evidence supporting circulating exosomal circRNAs as a promising noninvasive diagnostic biomarkers for malignancies.

Intra-arterial thrombectomy (IAT) has been increasingly applied in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to large-vessel occlusion, and many related studies have been published. However, limited studies on the prognosis of failed-IAT patients are available. In this study, factors that can predict a good prognosis in patients with failed IAT were studied. ⋯ In univariate analysis, a good collateral channel on susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI), modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (mTICI) 2A recanalization, and the pre-procedural modified Rankin scale (mRS) were statistically significant. In the multivariate analysis, good collateral channels on SWI and computed tomography angiography (CTA) and mTICI 2A recanalization were statistically significant. Factors that can predict a good prognosis in patients with failed IAT include good leptomeningeal collateral channels evaluated by CTA and SWI and mTICI 2A recanalization.
