Craniotomy hematoma was removed from the bone flap and multiple holes were drilled on the bone flap: A case report.
Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is a common disease in neurosurgery department. Burr-hole drainage is the main surgical treatment. And the recurrence rate is as high as 25%. ⋯ We get inspirations from the treatment of moyamoya disease surgery, through the bone holes the scalp forms many "meat column" like structures which have powerful capability in absorption, so the scalp could deep into the hematoma, then the CSDH could be cured. Provide a new surgical method for the treatment of refractory CSDH.

Immune-related adverse events are occasionally reported in Sintilimab treatment. This study reports a forward and reverse swelling case along the vein after infusion of Sintilimab. At present, swelling along the vascular direction during peripheral infusion are limitedly reported at home and abroad, especially when choosing a vein with thick, elastic, and good blood return. ⋯ The side effects of immunotherapy may accumulate over time. Early identification and appropriate nursing management are the keys to minimizing patients' pain and anxiety. To effectively treat symptoms, nurses could benefit from quickly identifying the source of swelling.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most prevalent neurodegenerative diseases in world. As some psychiatric symptoms degrade the quality of life of patients with PD, a novel alternative non-pharmacological treatment is required. Acupuncture appears to be an effective and safe treatment for PD. The emotional freedom technique (EFT) is a type of psychological therapy that alleviates psychiatric symptoms by stimulating acupoints. In this study, we will compare the efficacy and safety of a combination of the EFT and acupuncture and acupuncture alone. ⋯ Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for motor and nonmotor symptoms in PD, and EFT appears to be safe and effective for a variety of psychiatric symptoms. In this study, we will investigate the potential of EFT combined with acupuncture to improve psychiatric symptoms in PD.

Physicians' seniority has always been the focus of patients. Silver needle therapy (SNT) has been applied for more than 60 years. It is similar to moxibustion and has a good therapeutic effect on soft tissue pain. This study aimed to determine the influence of physicians' seniority on the efficacy of SNT for patients with low back fasciitis. ⋯ SNT could attenuate the pain of patients with low back fasciitis in the short and long term without severe complications. The physicians' seniority did not influence the efficacy of SNT, but the JP group showed an increased operation time and a higher degree of pain during the operation.

This study aims to evaluate global trends in hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-HCC) related mortality over the past 30 years. Despite improvements in the treatment of both HBV and HCC, disparities in access to care and treatment persist, and these disparities may have affected HBV-HCC outcomes across certain global regions disproportionately. Using data from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injury, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) from 1990 to 2019, we evaluated overall mortality rates related to HBV-HCC. ⋯ Significant disparities in HBV-HCC mortality are observed among global regions. We observed higher HBV-HCC mortality rates with older age, higher mortality in males, and highest mortality in East Asia. The clinical significance of these findings are to highlight those regions that need more targeted resources to improve HBV testing and treatment to reduce the long term consequences of untreated HBV, such as HCC.
