Observational Study
Body contouring after bariatric surgeries in Jordan: Awareness, prevalence, and challenges: A multicentric cross-sectional study.
Body-contouring surgeries are known to improve the quality of life and body image of patients undergoing bariatric surgery. However, only a small number of patients choose to undergo body-contouring surgeries. This study evaluated the prevalence of body-contouring surgeries among patients who underwent bariatric surgery in Jordan, and identified the limitations encountered. ⋯ However, no significant associations were observed between desiring body-contouring surgeries and marital status (P = .734) or employment status (P = .319). The low rate of body-contouring surgeries in Jordan reflects the importance of strengthening the patient-physician relationship through targeted education efforts that emphasize the expected consequences of bariatric surgery and the available solutions to address them. Additionally, encouraging collaboration among caregivers, healthcare authorities, and insurance providers is necessary to develop more inclusive treatment plans that are tailored to meet the diverse needs and socioeconomic backgrounds of patients.

Case Reports
Full-thickness skin regeneration beneath the exposed titanium mesh in cranioplasty: Two cases report.
Titanium mesh is one of the most widely used implant materials applied in cranioplasty; however, it has been reported to encounter the risk of progressive scalp thinning and implant exposure over time. Here we present 2 cases of exposed titanium mesh (TM) and unusual phenomena of full-thickness skin regeneration beneath the mesh. ⋯ Though the exact mechanism of this epithelisation phenomenon beneath the TM remains to be elucidated, it provided a feasible choice for clinicians to reconstruct the scalp's integrity without exerting complicated procedures when dealing with similar cases.

Acute lung injury (ALI) is an acute inflammatory disease characterized by excess production of inflammatory factors in lung tissue and has a high mortality. This research was designed for the identification of novel diagnostic biomarkers for ALI and analyzing the possible association between critical genes and infiltrated immune cells. ⋯ Our findings might provide some novel clue for the exploration of novel markers for ALI diagnosis. The critical genes and their associations with immune infiltration may offer new insight into understanding ALI developments.

Meta Analysis
Effects of family centered nursing model on children with primary nephrotic syndrome: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Family-centered nursing model has been widely used in the care of children patients, but there is still a lack of research on the care of children with primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS). Therefore, the aim of this study was to comprehensively evaluate the effects of family-centered nursing on children with PNS. ⋯ Family-centered nursing model can improve the QoL of children with PNS, increase the nursing satisfaction of family members and reduce the length of hospital stay, but further research need to verify its impact on behavioral problems.

Chondromalacia patella (CMP) is abnormal softening of the cartilage of the underside the patella. It is a cause of anterior knee pain. Previous study has demonstrated that the patellar cartilage hypertrophy is correlated with early signs of CMP (Grade 1 or 2). ⋯ Regarding the validity of PCCSA as predictors of CMP, Receiver Operating Characteristic curve analysis showed that the best cutoff point for the PCCSA was 116.24 mm2, with 72.0% sensitivity, 72.0% specificity, and the area under curve (AUC) of 0.79 (0.71-0.88). The PCCSA is a sensitive measurement parameter to predict low grade CMP. Thus, to evaluate CMP patients, the treating physician carefully inspect the PCCSA.
