LAMP1/2 as potential diagnostic and prognostic marker for brain lower grade glioma: A review.
Brain lower grade glioma (LGG) is a common type of glioma. The current treatment methods still have some limitations, and some LGG patients will inevitably continue to deteriorate after treatment. We found the value of lysosomal associated membrane proteins (LAMPs) in the diagnosis and prognosis of LGG, which helps to enhance the clinical understanding of LGG treatment and improved prognosis. ⋯ We found that the immune invasion of LGG was almost significantly correlated with the expression of LAMPs. The results suggested that mRNA expressions of LAMP1 and LAMP4 were significantly associated with histological subtypes in LGG patients. lysosomal associated membrane protein 2 and LAMP5 were significantly down-regulated expression in samples of TP53 mutant in LGG compared to TP53 wild type. In addition, Lysosomal associated membrane protein 3 and LAMP4 were significantly overexpressed in samples of TP53 mutant in LGG Enrichment analysis applied to each component indicated that biological function was primarily associated with series of pathways in synapse and immunity.

Following recent policy changes, younger Veterans have particularly increased options for where to receive their health care. Although existing research provides some understanding of non-modifiable individual (e.g., age) and external community (e.g., non-VA provider supply) factors that influence VA enrollment, this study focused on modifiable facility access and quality factors that could influence Veterans' decisions to enroll in VA. In this cohort study, we examined enrollment in and use of VA services in the year following military separation as the binary outcome using mixed-effects logistic regressions, stratified by Active and Reserve Components. ⋯ Higher mental health (MH) continuity (OR = 1.039, 95% CI: 1.000-1.078) and rating of PC providers (OR = 1.009, 95% CI: 1.000-1.017) were associated with higher VA enrollment for Reserve Component. Improving facility-specific quality of care may be a way to increase VA enrollment. In a changing policy environment, study results will help VA leadership target changes they can make to manage enrollment of Veterans in VA and deliver needed foundational services.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as a valuable and promising research field in eye diseases. However, there are few bibliometric studies in this area. The purpose of this study was to employ bibliometric analysis to visualize the research hotspots and trends of EVs in eye diseases and provide researchers with new perspectives for further studies. ⋯ This study provides a scientific perspective on EVs in eye diseases and provides valuable information for researchers to detect current research conditions, hotspots, and emerging trends for further study.

The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the top 100 cited articles in nonspecific neck pain (NSNP) research. A set of search terms was entered into the Web of Science database, and the articles with the highest citation counts in the field of NSNP were chosen. The top 100 articles were examined for total citation count, annual citations count, first author, year of publication, journal, study design, and country of origin. ⋯ In terms of country of origin, the majority of articles were from Australia (22). Vernon H., published the most cited article in the Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics in 1991, reporting the first instrument developed to assess self-reported disability in patients with neck pain. The bibliographic analysis to identify the top 100 most cited articles related to NSNP acknowledges the field historical advances and provides insight into the types of articles that have provided these advances.

We analyzed the prognostic value and potential molecular mechanisms of the members of integrin β (ITGB)superfamily in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), cBioPortal, Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA), Human Protein Atlas (HPA) HPA, Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins, GeneMANIA, Gene Ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG), TIMER and Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) databases. ITGB4/5 mRNA was upregulated in HCC tissues in contrast to the normal liver tissues, whereas ITGB2/3/8 levels were lower in the former. ITGB4 was the most frequently mutated ITGB gene in HCC. ⋯ In addition, ITGB6 together with ITGB7 were negatively related to the infiltration of multiple immune cell populations. GSEA results showed that ITGB6 was enriched in HCC migration and recurrence, whereas ITGB7 was significantly enriched in HIPPO, TOLL and JAK-STAT signaling pathways. In conclusion, ITGB6 and ITGB7 genes are possible to be prognostic biomarkers for HCC.
