Although noninvasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques are an effective alternative treatment option, their relative effects in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) remain undefined. Here, we aimed to compare motor efficacy of the NIBS techniques in PD. ⋯ HFrTMS is an effective intervention in improving motor function. Besides, its combination with another NIBS technique produces better therapeutic effects in the "on" state.

To determine hematocrit (HCT) and to identify independent risk factors for predicting bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in preterm infants with very low birth weight (VLBW) infants. This retrospective study included 296 premature infants with VLBW in the neonatal intensive care unit of the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China between January 2015 and December 2019. Maternal pregnant information and clinical information as well as hematological parameters of preterm babies were collected and compared. ⋯ The area under the curve of HCT at postnatal 1 week was 0.737 with the sensitivity of 52.30 % and the specificity of 86.00%. Birth weight (BW) <1.12 kg, gestational age <28.4 weeks, newborn respiratory distress syndrome, mechanical ventilation ≥ 7 days, ventilation associated pneumonia, patent arterial duct, PaO2/FiO2 <300 mm Hg and HCT <0.455 at postnatal 1 week were risk factors for BPD of VLBW infants. HCT levels below 0.455 at 1 week after birth serve as a valuable indicator for the potential development of BPD.

To study the changes in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) expression in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer before and after neoadjuvant treatment. The clinicopathologic data of 499 patients with HER2-positive breast cancer who completed neoadjuvant treatment and surgery at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from 2018 to 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the new adjuvant regimen, 298 patients were divided into the trastuzumab + pertuzumab combined chemotherapy group (dual target group), and 201 patients were divided into the trastuzumab combined chemotherapy group (single target group). ⋯ Only 2 (0.20%) of 32 patients with negative HER2 had recurrence and metastasis. Neoadjuvant treatment had an effect on the expression status of HER2, especially in the dual target group. For patients with negative HER2, the optimal treatment strategy remains to be explored, but continued anti-HER2 treatment is still recommended.

Case Reports
The first case report of acute myocardial infarction in young adult caused by scrub typhus.
Scrub typhus is a zoonotic disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, a gram-negative intracellular bacterium and endemic in Asia-Pacific area. Acute myocardial infarction after Oricntia tsutsugamushi infection was rarely reported, and young adult was not reported. ⋯ Our case was the first report of young adult acute myocardial infarction after O tsutsugamushi infection and we tried to figure out the potential mechanism and how to deal with.

Postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) are among the most common complications after cardiovascular surgery. This study aimed to explore the real incidence of and risk factors for PPC in patients with acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) who underwent total aortic arch replacement combined with the frozen elephant trunk (TAR + FET). In total, 305 ATAAD patients undergoing TAR + FET from January 2021 to August 2022 in a single-center were divided into PPCs or non-PPCs group. ⋯ Additionally, other short-term outcomes were also significantly poorer in patients with PPCs. PPCs are common in ATAAD patients undergoing TAR + FET, and could be multifactorial. PPCs occurrence are associated with poor patient outcomes postoperatively and worth further investigation.
