Cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) is an autosomal recessive lipid metabolism disorder. It is caused by a defect in the sterol-27-hydroxylase gene, leading to the deposition of cholesteryl and bile alcohol in large amounts, causing a variety of clinical manifestations; however, tremor as the main manifestation of CTX has not been reported. ⋯ The patient's condition considerably improved. This case could help avoid misdiagnosis and mistreatment in clinical practice.

This article presents a complex case of refractory severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-related inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and outlines its diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Considering inadequate responses to conventional and steroid treatments, the potential efficacy of intravenous immunoglobulin is explored. ⋯ Elderly individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 may develop severe systemic inflammatory responses. The patients in this report predominantly presented with IBD following SARS-CoV-2 infection, accompanied by MIS. Favorable clinical outcomes were achieved following lower-dose intravenous immunoglobulin immunotherapy, which demonstrated superior efficacy compared to glucocorticoids in managing such conditions. Future research should prioritize investigating immunotherapy application strategies in IBD and MIS. Notably, the significant clinical improvement observed with lower-dose intravenous immunoglobulin administration could optimize the utilization of this limited medical resource.

Adult sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) is a rare disease that is not easily detected or easily missed, and its treatment is based on surgery, including transabdominal, transsacral, or a combination of both, but there are no clear guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. We share a case of Altman type III SCT in order to provide more reference protocols for the diagnosis and treatment of adult SCT, and more importantly to increase our understanding of different types of SCT cases in adults. ⋯ Our sharing increases the reports of rare cases of teratoma with the same histological findings in different organ tissues of the same patient at different times, whether this occurs incidentally requires more case reports and further basic research; in addition, the laparoscopic transabdominal-sacrococcygeal approach is a safe and effective surgical approach for the treatment of Altman type III SCT in adults; finally, this case reminds us that SCT may not affect pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes and provides a reference for the selection of interventions for SCT with pregnancy.

Acute puerperal uterine inversion with successful manual transvaginal repositioning: A case report.
Uterine inversion is a rare medical condition that is categorized as puerperal and nonpuerperal. Repositioning of uterine involution can be done manually or surgically, the latter of which involves abdominal manipulation and disruption of the integrity of the uterine wall, which can lead to complications for the patient in subsequent pregnancies, such as uterine rupture. ⋯ Early recognition, antishock therapy and prompt repositioning are key in the management of puerperal uterine inversion. We hope that this case will enable clinicians to better visualize the ultrasound imaging of uterine inversion and the process of manual repositioning.

Eosinophilic pulmonary disease (EPD) is a general term for a large group of diseases with complex etiology. Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Patients with IBD may have pulmonary involvement. We herein present a case of ulcerative colitis complicated with EPD. ⋯ The clinical manifestations of EPD are atypical, laboratory and imaging findings are not specific, and it is difficult to make a definite diagnosis before lung biopsy. The diagnosis depends on pathological examination. Glucocorticoid treatment is effective, but some patients may relapse after drug withdrawal. Active follow-up after glucocorticoid treatment is very important for identifying disease recurrence. Patients with IBD are relatively prone to developing EPD. The etiology of EPD is complex. In clinical practice, we need to make a diagnosis and differential diagnosis to clarify its etiology.
