Observational Study
Clinical profiles and treatment outcomes of outpatients with interstitial lung disease and mechanic's hands: A retrospective and observational cohort.
Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, especially antisynthetase syndrome, often appear outside of the muscles as interstitial lung disease (ILD). Another typical finding is the presence of mechanic's hands. The aim of the present study was to describe the clinical, functional, tomographic, and serological data of patients with ILD and mechanic's hands and their response to treatment and survival rates. ⋯ After a median follow-up of 58 months, 48 patients remained alive and three died. Patients with honeycombing on high-resolution chest tomography (log-rank = 34.65; P < .001) and a decrease in FVC ≥5% (log-rank = 18.28, P < .001) had a poorer survival rate. Patients with ILD and mechanic's hands respond well to immunosuppressive treatment.

Mining and exploration of appendicitis nursing targets: An observational study.
Appendicitis is an inflammation caused by obstruction of the appendiceal lumen or termination of blood supply leading to appendiceal necrosis followed by secondary bacterial infection. The relationship between TYROBP gene and the nursing of appendicitis remains unclear. The appendicitis dataset GSE9579 profile was downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database generated from GPL571. ⋯ Comparative Toxicogenomics Database analysis found that core genes (FCGR2A, IL1B, ITGAM, TLR2, TYROBP) were closely related to abdominal pain, gastrointestinal dysfunction, fever, and inflammation occurrence. TYROBP gene is highly expressed in appendicitis, and higher expression of TYROBP gene indicates worse prognosis. TYROBP may serve as a molecular target for appendicitis and its nursing.

Species of the genus Codonopsis (Campanulaceae) have a long history of application, acclaimed for its edible and therapeutic attributes. Scholarly inquiries into Codonopsis span botany, phytochemistry, quality assurance, pharmacodynamics, and toxicity, revealing a rich and comprehensive body of knowledge. This study synthesizes information from esteemed scientific databases like SciFinder, PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Chinese herbal classics to create a thorough scientific conceptual and theoretical framework for Codonopsis research. ⋯ The existing research, focusing on various extracts and active parts without identifying specific active molecules, complicates the understanding of the mechanisms of action. There is an urgent need to advance research on the chemical composition and pharmacological effects to fully elucidate its pharmacodynamic properties and the basis of its material composition. Such efforts are crucial for the rational development, utilization, and clinical application of this herb.

Effect of case management based on Omaha system on clinical symptoms and quality of life of coronary heart disease patients after percutaneous coronary intervention.
To investigate the effect of case management (CM) based on the Omaha system on clinical symptoms and quality of life (QOL) of coronary heart disease patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Patients with coronary heart disease after their first PCI in the People's Hospital of Longhua in Shenzhen were randomly divided into a control group (received CM based on the Omaha system) and an observation group (received routine nursing) using a random number table. Nursing problems and the knowledge-behavior-status (KBS) score of patients were evaluated on the day after surgery, on the day before discharge, at 5 weeks after discharge, and at 12 weeks after discharge. ⋯ Moreover, there were no significant differences in the CROQ-PTCA-Post scores on the first day after surgery between the 2 groups (P gr.05). These scores were significantly increased between the 2 groups at 12 weeks after discharge (P < .01). CM based on the Omaha system for patients after PCI can effectively improve the KBS scores and QOL of PCI patients with postoperative nursing problems, making this approach worthy of clinical promotion.

Research progress of ectopic thyroid cancer in thyroglossal duct cyst: A case report and literature review.
Thyroglossal duct carcinoma, a rare clinical condition characterized by ectopic thyroid adenocarcinoma within thyroglossal duct cysts (TGDCs), typically confirmed through intraoperative rapid pathology, this condition generally has a favorable prognosis. Nevertheless, comprehensive treatment guidelines across all disease stages are lacking, the purpose of this study is to report 1 case of the disease and propose the treatment plan for each stage of the disease. ⋯ Thyroglossal duct carcinoma is a rare disease affecting the neck. Due to limited clinical cases and the favorable prognosis associated with this condition, there is currently no established set of diagnostic and treatment guidelines. According to tumor size, lymph node metastasis, thyroid status and other factors, the corresponding treatment methods were established for each stage of thyroglossal duct cancer, which laid the foundation for the subsequent treatment development of this disease.
