Observational Study
Optimizing the connection of CRRT and ECMO lines with additional pressure regulator on the therapeutic effect, filter life, and incidence of complications.
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is used for severe cardiopulmonary failure, with veno-arterial ECMO for cardiogenic shock and veno-venous ECMO for acute respiratory failure. ECMO's application has expanded to ICUs, emergency departments, and operating rooms. ECMO patients are at high risk for complications, including acute kidney injury (AKI), often requiring renal replacement therapy (RRT), posing significant management challenges. ⋯ This study demonstrates that additional pressure regulation devices are installed at the line connection between the CRRT input end and the CRRT return end to ensure that the flow rate of ECMO does not affect the CRRT treatment. ECMO and CRRT provide a safe pressure range so that the ECMO line can be safely connected to the CRRT machine at physiological pressure, reducing the occurrence of complications related to CRRT machine interruption and improving the efficiency of CRRT without affecting the efficiency of ECMO, ensuring patient safety.

Role of flibanserin in managing hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Flibanserin, approved for the treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in females, has demonstrated diverse therapeutic and adverse effect (AE) prospects in the extant randomized controlled trials (RCTs). This meta-analysis aimed to characterize the outcomes of flibanserin use in these patients comprehensively. ⋯ While flibanserin has demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of HSDD in both pre- and postmenopausal women, its therapeutic advantages may be overshadowed by the higher likelihood of AEs.

Efficacy of knee osteoarthritis by use of laser acupuncture: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Previous studies need to be aggregated and updated. We aim to assess the efficacy of laser acupuncture (LA) in knee osteoarthritis (OA) through a meta-analysis. ⋯ Laser acupuncture is more or less effective in patients with OA; better efficacy will be achieved under appropriate laser parameters (810 nm, 785 nm) in the LA versus Sham LA group. Many studies have diverse results, possibly due to unstaged analysis of patients' disease, inappropriate selection of acupoints, lack of remote combined acupoints, and unreasonable laser parameters. Furthermore, a combination of acupoints was found to be more effective, which aligns with the combined-acupoints application of traditional Chinese medicine.

Efficacy and safety of albiglutide, a once-weekly glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist, in patients with type 2 diabetes: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
No meta-analysis has holistically analyzed and summarized the therapeutic efficacy and safety of albiglutide in type 2 diabetes (T2D). This meta-analysis addresses this knowledge gap. ⋯ Albiglutide provides reassuring data on good glycemic efficacy, tolerability, and safety over an extended period of clinical use in patients with T2D. Albiglutide 30 mg has comparable efficacy and safety profiles to albiglutide 50 mg.

The efficacy of gabapentin supplementation for pain control after lumbar laminectomy and discectomy: A meta-analysis study.
Gabapentin supplementation may have some potential in pain control after lumbar laminectomy and discectomy, and this meta-analysis aims to explore the impact of gabapentin supplementation on postoperative pain management for lumbar laminectomy and discectomy. ⋯ Gabapentin supplementation benefits to pain control after lumbar laminectomy and discectomy.
