The field of regenerative medicine for sports injuries has grown significantly in the 21st century. This study attempted to provide an overview of the current state of research and key findings regarding the relationship between sport and regenerative medicine in general, identifying trends and hotspots in research topics. We gathered the literature from the Web of Science (WOS) database covering the last 10 years (2013-2023) pertaining to regenerative medicine for sporter and applied Citespace to assess the knowledge mapping. ⋯ The country, institution, and author with the most publications are the USA, Harvard University, and Maffulli Nicola. In addition, the most co-cited reference is J Acad Nutr Diet (2016) (199). Adipose tissue, high tibial osteotomy, and bone marrow are the hot spots in this field in the next few years.

Association between lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio and prostate cancer in men: A population-based study.
Using the novel inflammatory biomarker lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), this work aimed to look into any potential connections between LMR and prostate cancer (PCa). A cross-sectional research investigation was conducted on 7706 male participants involved in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2001 to 2010. Multivariate logistic regression modeling investigated the relationship between LMR levels and PCa risk. ⋯ According to our findings, there is a substantial inverse relationship between PCa risk and LMR level. The inflammatory response-related index is quick, easy to use, and offers some clinical references. However, more extensive prospective investigations are required to confirm the involvement of LMR levels in PCa.

Cervical cancer is a common and significant health issue for women worldwide. To address the dearth of research on male partners' experiences when their significant others are diagnosed with cervical cancer, we aim to explore the unique challenges and perspectives encountered by men in these circumstances. The study adopted interpretive phenomenological analysis to qualitatively assess the experiences of males with partners diagnosed of cervical cancer. ⋯ The findings indicated that men faced several challenging experiences as a result of their spouses' condition and revealed the strategies they employed to cope with the stress of caring for their wives. Almost every man adopted a strategy to cope with the condition of their wives. This study would assist other men to understand the psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual experiences the men went through to appreciate and adopt their coping strategies whenever they go through such challenges.

Investigations into the therapeutic potential of Astragalus Mongholicus (AM, huáng qí) and Largehead Atractylodes (LA, bái zhú) reveal significant efficacy in mitigating the onset and progression of knee osteoarthritis (KOA), albeit with an elusive mechanistic understanding. This study delineates the primary bioactive constituents and their molecular targets within the AM-LA synergy by harnessing the comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) network databases, including TCMSP, TCMID, and ETCM. Furthermore, an analysis of 3 gene expression datasets, sourced from the gene expression omnibus database, facilitated the identification of differential genes associated with KOA. ⋯ Our findings suggest that the AM-LA combination modulates key biological processes, including cellular activity, reactive oxygen species modification, metabolic regulation, and the activation of systemic immunity. By either augmenting or attenuating crucial signaling pathways, such as MAPK, calcium, and PI3K/AKT pathways, the AM-LA dyad orchestrates a comprehensive regulatory effect on immune-inflammatory responses, cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and antioxidant defenses, offering a novel therapeutic avenue for KOA management. This study, underpinned by gene expression omnibus gene chip analyses and network pharmacology, advances our understanding of the molecular underpinnings governing the inhibitory effects of AM and LA on KOA progression, laying the groundwork for future explorations into the active components and mechanistic pathways of TCM in KOA treatment.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of physical exercise on the social adaptability of middle school students and further analyze the mediating role of social anxiety. A total of 1056 middle school students from 6 middle schools in Sichuan, China, voluntarily participated in the survey. ⋯ The results showed that physical exercise could positively predict social adaptability (b = 0.08, P < .05), and social anxiety played a mediation role between physical exercise and social adaptability (indirect effect = 0.11, 95% confidence interval = 0.066-0.150). Some practical implications have been discussed on the physical exercise intervention for promoting social adaptability in middle school students.
