High-intensity interval training (HIIT) can significantly improve health indicators such as cardiopulmonary function, metabolic efficiency, and muscle strength in a short period. However, due to significant physiological and metabolic differences between males and females, the effects of HIIT vary between genders. Therefore, exploring the specific impacts of HIIT on women's health is crucial. Although there is a considerable amount of individual research on the impact of HIIT on women's health, a systematic bibliometric analysis is still lacking. ⋯ This field has emerged as a research hotspot with international characteristics and extensive academic productivity. Journals and cited journals hold high academic influence, with highly cited and bursty references laying a solid theoretical and practical foundation for the field. In the rapid development of the past decade, research hotspots and frontier directions such as metabolic adaptation, muscle adaptation, cardiovascular health, exercise performance, and personalized training plans have been formed.

Effect of "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" on restless leg syndrome: A randomized trial.
This study aimed to observe the clinical effects of "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" (HTDRAS Acupuncture) for treating restless leg syndrome (RLS). ⋯ "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" for RLS is significantly effective and safe. It can effectively improve the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine in RLS patients, alleviate clinical symptoms and reduce anxiety. This treatment has a high clinical application value and is worthy of clinical promotion.

Application of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology: Traditional Chinese medicine ironing combined with traditional Chinese medicine massage in improving functional constipation in elderly patients.
To explore the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing technology combined with TCM massage on elderly patients with functional constipation (FC). Ninety elderly patients with FC admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, observation group 1 was treated with TCM massage on the basis of the control group, and observation group 2 was treated with medicine ironing combined with TCM massage on the basis of the control group. ⋯ After treatment, the increase in scores of CSBM and Bristol fecal traits in the 2 groups was higher than that in the observation group and control group, and the increase in scores of CSBM and Bristol fecal traits in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P < .05). There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the 3 groups (10.00%, 6.67%, 20.00%) (P > .05). The application of TCM nursing techniques such as TCM ironing and TCM massage in elderly patients with FC has a significant clinical effect, which can effectively improve clinical symptoms, defecation frequency, and fecal characteristics, and has high safety.

Osteoarthritis (OA) affects 528 million individuals globally, predominantly in knee and hip joints, with a notable impact on females aged over 55, resulting in a substantial economic burden. However, the efficacy of modalities used in physiotherapy to manage OA pain for reducing the need for joint replacement remains an open question, and guidelines differ. Our systematic narrative review, drawing from reputable databases (e.g., PubMed, Cochrane, and CINAHL) with specific Mesh terms investigated evidence from 23 Randomized Controlled Trials (that included a control or a sham group in 30 different protocols) using therapeutic modalities like ultrasound, diathermy, and electrical stimulation for knee and hip OA pain, involving a total of 1055 subjects. ⋯ We recommend a comprehensive, sequential, and multimodal intervention plan for individuals with joint OA with initial transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and progressing to a 2-week protocol of continuous ultrasound, potentially combined with deep microwave diathermy. Long-term intervention involves the use of pulsed electrical stimulation. For hip OA, a cautious approach and discussions with healthcare providers about potential benefits of spinal cord nerve stimulation.

Heavy metal water pollution refers to the abnormal concentration of metal elements and their compounds in water with a relative density of >4.5, which causes the water quality to decline or deteriorate. To assess the presence of 7 metals in drinking water in a city in Xinjiang and the health risks to the human body caused by drinking the water and to provide a scientific basis for health risk management for drinking water. In 2021, 114 monitoring points were set up in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, and 228 water samples were collected in the dry and in the wet seasons to monitor water quality. ⋯ Based on noncarcinogenic health risk, the order of the 7 metals was Al > Fe > Gu > Mn > Hg > Zn > Pb, and the hazard index was 3.33 × 10-7 < 1. The total noncarcinogenic health risk of 7 metals was <1, that is, within the acceptable range. Al has the highest noncarcinogenic health risk, followed by Fe.
