Bronchial Dieulafoy disease (BDD), a rarely reported disease, comes from dilated or abnormal arteries under the bronchial mucosa. Patients with BDD are generally asymptomatic so this disease is frequently misdiagnosed. However, the submucosal arteries may dilate and rupture for various reasons, leading to recurrent respiratory tract bleeding and potentially life-threatening conditions. With the change of reversible factors such as intravascular pressure, the arteries may return to normal, allowing patients to recover to an asymptomatic state. This phenomenon has not been mentioned and concerned in previous studies, but it may have important implications for our correct understanding of this disease. ⋯ The appearance and disappearance of abnormal artery is an interesting phenomena of BDD. The change of intravascular pressure due to various causes such as VA-ECMO may be the primary factor of it.

Uveal melanoma (UM) is a common health challenge worldwide as a prevalent intraocular malignancy because of its high mortality rate. However, clinical workers do not have an accurate prognostic tool now. Immune function is closely related to tumor development. ⋯ Our study revealed that immune-related lncRNAs are significant in the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of UM patients. We successfully constructed a lncRNA-based prognostic risk model which may serve as a future reference for the diagnosis and prognosis of UM. Based on this model we also validated the sensitivity of some cancer drugs, which has implications for the future immunotherapy and drug development.

The purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence and sociodemographic determinants of depression, anxiety, and stress among vocational college students. 1255 students participated in the cross-sectional study. The Chinese version of the 21-item the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21) was used. Depression was reported in 37.6% of vocational college students, anxiety in 51.6%, and stress in 38.1%. ⋯ Additionally, the likelihood of having depression was higher in non-only-child students (P < .01) and rural family location was a risk factor for stress (P < .001). A higher prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress was found in vocational college students. Timely and targeted psychological interventions should be taken.

A case of paraprotein-negative POEMS syndrome: Case report and literature review.
POEMS syndrome is a rare monoclonal plasma cell disease. The diagnosis of POEMS requires polyradiculoneuropathy and monoclonal plasma proliferating as 2 mandatory criteria, at least 1 of the major criteria (Castleman disease, elevated vascular endothelial growth factor level, and sclerotic bone lesion), and at least 1 of the minor criteria (organomegaly, extravascular volume overload, endocrinopathy, skin changes, papilledema, and thrombocytosis/polycythemia). This multisystem disorder is of high heterogeneity, and few variants of POEMS with no evidence of monoclonal gammopathy have been described, which further complicates the diagnosis in clinical practice. Now, we report a case of paraprotein-negative POEMS syndrome. ⋯ Physicians should pay more attention to the POEMS syndrome, especially the POEMS syndrome variants, which are absence of paraprotein; probably, these variants are just "on the way" to classic POEMS syndrome antiplasma cell therapy, which remains the treatment of choice.

In patients with schizophrenia, Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with antipsychotics is one of the treatments for it. However, little information is available regarding the difference between the therapeutic effect of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with antipsychotics and other treatments. Systematic evaluation is conducted to assess the efficacy and safety of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction and other antipsychotics, which are used to treat schizophrenia. ⋯ The combination of Diankuang Mengxing Decoction with different antipsychotics can improve the overall prognosis of patients with schizophrenia; Diankuang Mengxing Decoction combined olanzapine, a dosage of 400 mL/d and a duration of 4 weeks/30 days being the best in this regard, by alleviating the symptoms and diminishing the disorder's adverse effects. To build on this work, more large-sample, multi-center, and high-quality clinical studies in the future would help to further validate our findings.
