The effectiveness of interventions to improve pain assessment and management in people living with dementia: A systematic review and meta-analyses.
To synthesize and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for nurses to improve the assessment and management of pain in people living with dementia. ⋯ Various pain assessment tools have been considered to assist identification and management of pain in people living with dementia. Nevertheless, challenges exist when caring for people living with dementia in pain. These findings support the development of a comprehensive pain model, which may be a more effective strategy than routine use of a pain tool alone for nurses to improve pain management in dementia care.

Diagnostic test accuracy of the Nursing Delirium Screening Scale: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
To evaluate the diagnostic test accuracy of the Nursing Delirium Screening Scale through a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ With the best evidence of the accuracy of the Nursing Delirium Screening Scale, we recommend nursing leaders to use this easy-to-use and validated tool for daily screening of delirium in any hospital setting, which possibly contribute to an early detection of delirium and, ultimately, assist to obtain an accurate estimation of prevalence of delirium.

To evaluate the efficacy of exercise-based interventions and mind-body therapies on quality of life, menopausal symptoms, and depression among Asian perimenopausal women. ⋯ Exercise-based interventions and mind-body therapies suggest effectiveness on quality of life, menopausal symptoms, and depression among Asian perimenopausal women. Exercise-based interventions and mind-body therapies improve quality of life, menopausal symptoms, and depression but not hot flashes. Long-term exercise-based interventions is effective in managing depression. Due to varied limitations in the review and included studies, firm conclusions cannot be reached. Healthcare professionals in Asia can consider implementing exercise-based interventions and mind-body therapies for symptomatic perimenopausal Asian women.
