Taurine-upregulated gene 1 (TUG1) is reported to be upregulated and contributes to the progression of Pancreatic cancer (PC) by serving as an oncogene. Our aims were to explore the precise mechanism of TUG1 involved in PC pathogenesis. ⋯ The results reported that inhibition of TUG1/miR-299-3p axis suppressed PC malignant progression via suppression of the Notch1 pathway.

Gastrointestinal motility disorder is an important pathological basis for functional dyspepsia (FD). Epigastric ache and discomfort are the main symptoms of FD, and ghrelin deficiency is closely related to the occurrence and development of FD. While electroacupuncture (EA) alleviated the symptoms of FD patients and improved their quality of life, there is a lack of sufficient mechanistic evidence to support these beneficial effects. ⋯ Altering the level of ghrelin by regulating AMPK/TSC2/Rheb-mediated mTOR inhibition is an important way through which EA treats FD. The complex EA-mediated regulatory mechanisms of the brain-gut axis still require further exploration.

Data on real-life patterns of biologic use for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are scarce. ⋯ In real-world clinical practice settings, discontinuation of biologics occurred frequently in IBD patients, and switching of biologics was common in UC patients.
