The method for predicting the risk of intubation in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is yet to be standardized. This study aimed to introduce a new disease prognosis scoring model that may predict the intubation risk based on the symptoms, signs, and laboratory tests of patients hospitalized with the diagnosis of COVID-19. ⋯ On the basis of certain variables measured at admission, the OTO-COVID-19 scoring model may help clinicians identify patients at the risk of intubation and subsequently provide a prompt and effective treatment at the earliest.

To assess how the use of calcipotriol and betamethasone dipropionate (Cal/BDP) cream impacted efficacy, patients' quality of life (QoL), and treatment satisfaction versus Cal/BDP foam. ⋯ Indirect comparison analyses showed that Cal/BDP cream significantly improves treatment satisfaction and tends to improve QoL versus foam. Cal/BDP cream is on par with foam on efficacy.

This study was aimed to assess the magnitude of failed induction of labor and associated factors among mothers delivered in Eastern Ethiopia. ⋯ The magnitude of failed induction of labor was relatively high in the study setting. Failed induction of labor was significantly associated with age, rural residency, primipara, gestational age, multiple pregnancy, premature rapture of membrane, PIH, and bishop score less than six. Prior to initiating the induction of labor, proper pelvis assessment and cervical ripening for bishop score might be considered. Beside to this, adherence to locally available induction protocols and guidelines might also be needed.
