Review Case Reports[Pulmonary torsion of the right superior lobe: an unusual complication secondary to surgery].
Pulmonary torsion is a serious complication consisting of the rotation of the pulmonary parenchyma upon its vascular pedicle. Torsion is usually related to lung surgery and may lead to death. Early diagnosis allows for the rapid treatment that is essential for preventing death and decreasing associated complications.

Review Case Reports[Localized tracheobronchial amyloidosis. The usefulness of computed tomography].
Tracheobronchial amyloidosis is the most common form of localized bronchopulmonary amyloidoses, although its diagnosis is rare in daily practice. We describe two new cases of localized tracheobronchial amyloidosis, one in the form of a single node and one diffuse. We discuss in particular the contribution of computed axial tomography, mainly for diagnosing the diffuse form, in which a finding of a thickened tracheobronchial wall and intraluminal nodes should lead to the suspicion of this entity. The treatment of choice in most cases is resection with an Nd-YAG laser.

Review Case Reports[Tracheal rupture secondary to intubation or tracheostomy].
This article describes our experience with 3 cases of iatrogenic rupture of the trachea (2 cases secondary to orotracheal intubation and 1 to tracheostomy), all of which required surgery. We discuss the indications for surgical treatment and the technique of choice, and review the literature. Based on our experience we advise early intervention and direct suture of the lesion; if mechanical support ventilation is needed, we advise using a tube with low-pressure pulmonary tamponade.
