Accuracy of Cloud-Based Speech Recognition Open Application Programming Interface for Medical Terms of Korean.
There are limited data on the accuracy of cloud-based speech recognition (SR) open application programming interfaces (APIs) for medical terminology. This study aimed to evaluate the medical term recognition accuracy of current available cloud-based SR open APIs in Korean. ⋯ Among three current cloud-based SR open APIs, Naver Clova SR which manufactured by Korean company showed highest accuracy of medical terms in Korean, compared to Google Speech-to-Text and Amazon Transcribe. Although limitations are existing in the recognition of medical terminology, there is a lot of rooms for improvement of this promising technology by combining strengths of each SR engines.

Analysis of Retracted Publications in The Biomedical Literature from Turkey.
Retraction is a process for correcting the literature and provides a barrier to the dissemination of publications that include major faults or false-misleading data. The aim of this study was to examine the characteristics of retracted articles in the biomedical field sourced from Turkey. ⋯ The retracted article counts showed a rising trend over the years. The leading causes of retraction for articles from Turkey were plagiarism, duplication, and error. It was found that the articles continued to be cited after the retraction. Researchers in Turkey should be educated on retraction, particularly plagiarism and duplication. Strategies should be developed to prevent articles from being cited after retraction.

Nosocomial Outbreak by Delta Variant From a Fully Vaccinated Patient.
The potential for a nosocomial outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from a fully vaccinated individual is largely unknown. ⋯ Transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 from a fully vaccinated index occurred rapidly via the wards and on-call room. Care must be taken to not use equipment that can change the airflow.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of Local Anesthetics With or Without Steroids in High-Volume Transforaminal Epidural Blocks for Lumbar Disc Herniation: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Controlled Trial.
Lumbar transforaminal epidural block (TFEB) is an effective treatment modality for radicular pain due to lumbar disc herniation (LDH). The addition of steroids is more effective than local anesthetic alone in TFEBs for patients with LDH. Moreover, the efficacy of TFEBs has been reported to be positively correlated with the volume of injectate. We hypothesized that high-volume TFEBs without steroids effectively alleviate axial back and radicular pain associated with LDH. This study compared the efficacy of high-volume TFEBs with vs. without steroids for the management of the axial and radicular pain caused by LDH. ⋯ High-volume TFEBs with and without steroid administration yielded similar significant pain reductions and functional improvements among LDH patients 4 weeks after the procedure.
