Management of Contacts of the First Imported Monkeypox Case in Korea.
On 22 June, a man who returned to South Korea from Germany tested positive for the monkeypox virus using real-time polymerase chain reaction. We identified 49 contacts concerning the first monkeypox case and classified them into two groups based on risk exposure levels. Through active monitoring of eight people in the medium-risk group and passive monitoring of 41 people in the low-risk group, we identified that no secondary transmission occurred over 21 days. The prompt active or passive monitoring of the index case of imported monkeypox could prevent community transmission in Korea.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffectiveness and Safety of Codeine and Levodropropizine in Patients With Chronic Cough.
Recent progress in chronic cough management includes controlling cough triggers and hypersensitivity using antitussives. Therefore, we investigated the effects and safety outcomes of antitussives, codeine and levodropropizine, in patients with chronic cough. ⋯ Codeine is an effective and generally well-tolerated antitussive for chronic cough. However, it may induce side effects in some patients. Individual responses and adverse events should be carefully monitored when codeine is used to treat chronic cough.

Annual Case Volume and One-Year Mortality for Endovascular Treatment in Acute Ischemic Stroke.
The association between endovascular treatment (EVT) case volume per hospital and clinical outcomes has been reported, but the exact volume threshold has not been determined. This study aimed to examine the case volume threshold in this context. ⋯ Annual EVT case volume was associated with 1-year mortality. The volume threshold per hospital was 15 cases per year.

Efficient Segmentation for Left Atrium With Convolution Neural Network Based on Active Learning in Late Gadolinium Enhancement Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
To propose fully automatic segmentation of left atrium using active learning with limited dataset in late gadolinium enhancement in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (LGE-CMRI). ⋯ Deep active learning reduced annotation time and enabled efficient training on limited LGE-CMRI.

Effect of Cancer-Related Dysfunctional Beliefs About Sleep on Fear of Cancer Progression in the Coronavirus Pandemic.
This study aimed to explore clinical correlates of fear of progression (FoP) among patients with cancer during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and examine the mediation effect of cancer-related dysfunctional beliefs about sleep (C-DBS). ⋯ During the COVID-19 pandemic, the FoP of patients with cancer was associated with younger age, depression, viral anxiety, and C-DBS. Depression and viral anxiety directly influenced FoP, while C-DBS mediated the association between viral anxiety and FoP. Therefore, oncology healthcare professionals are recommended to assess C-DBS of their patients when they are highly distressed from FoP.
