Meta Analysis
High diagnostic value of miRNAs for NSCLC: quantitative analysis for both single and combined miRNAs in lung cancer.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are good candidates as biomarkers for Lung cancer (LC). The aim of this article is to figure out the diagnostic value of both single and combined miRNAs in LC. ⋯ We identified several single miRNAs and combined groups with high diagnostic power for NSCLC through pooled quantitative analysis, which shows that specific miRNAs are good biomarker candidates for NSCLC and further researches needed.

To investigate the effect of antimalarials on cancer risk in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). ⋯ Results of this meta-analysis showed that antimalarial drugs might be protective factors for cancer in SLE. Hydroxychloroquine might be a protective factor for cancer in SLE patients.KEY MESSAGESAntimalarials might be protective factors for cancer in SLE.Hydroxychloroquine might be a protective factor for cancer in SLE patients. The first article to perform the meta-analysis of antimalarial drugs on the risk of cancer in SLE patients.

Meta Analysis
Comprehensive meta-analysis of anti-BCMA chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy shows impressive results in clinical trials. We conducted a meta-analysis based on the most recent data to systematically describe the efficacy and safety of anti-BCMA CAR T therapy for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM). ⋯ Anti-BCMA CAR T therapy is effective and safe for patients with R/R MM. It can improve the prognosis of patients with high-risk cytogenetic features while the prognosis of patients with EMD remains poor. Moreover, patients are likely to benefit from an earlier use of CAR T therapy and human-derived CAR T cells have obvious advantages based on the existing data.

The aim of current systematic review and meta-analysis is to provide insight into the therapeutic efficacy of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for the decolonization of antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) bacteria from the gut. ⋯ More rigorous RCTs with larger sample size and standardized protocols on FMTs for gut decolonization of AMR organisms are warranted.KEY MESSAGEExisting studies in this subject are limited and of low quality with moderate heterogeneity, and do not allow definitive conclusions to be drawn.More rigorous RCTs with larger sample size and standardized protocols on FMTs for gut decolonization of AMR organisms are warranted.

Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) has been reported in numerous studies to effectively predict the survival outcomes of urinary system cancers; however no agreement has been reached. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the prognostic significance of pre-treatment SII in tumours of the urinary system. ⋯ Pre-treatment SII could be used as a non-invasive and promising biomarker to indicate the prognosis of urinary system cancer patients.KEY MESSAGES:This meta-analysis evaluates the predictive value of systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) for patients with urinary system cancer.A high pre-treatment SII indicates a poor prognosis.SII can serve as a promising non-invasive biomarker to help clinicians assess the prognosis and develop treatment strategies for urinary system cancer patients.
