Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has rapidly swept across the world. This study aimed to explore the relationship between the chest CT findings and clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients. ⋯ Chest CT plays an important role in diagnosing COVID-19. The CT features may vary by age. Different CT features are not only associated with clinical manifestation but also patient prognosis. Key messages The initial chest CT findings of COVID-19 could help us monitor and predict the outcome. Nodules were more common in non severe cases and had a favorable prognosis. The mixed pattern was more common in severe cases and usually had a relatively poor outcome.

Tripteryguim wilfordii Hook (TWH) has significant anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties and is widely used for treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. However, the multi-target mechanism of TWH on ankylosing spondylitis (AS) remains to be elucidated. ⋯ Verified by network pharmacology approach based on data mining and molecular docking methods, multi-target drug TWH may serve as a promising therapeutic candidate for AS but still needs further in vivo/in vitro experiments.

The overall response rate of immunotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains unsatisfactory. Accumulating evidence indicated that glucose metabolic reprogramming could modulate immunotherapy efficacy. However, transcriptomic evidence remains insufficient. ⋯ IL4I1, ITGB7, and FUT7 may be the hub genes that link glucose metabolism, and cancer-specific immunity. They may be potential targets for enhancing ICB treatment by reprogramming the tumour microenvironment and remodelling tumour metabolism.

The use of lycopene as a complementary medicine for Type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is limited and controversial. This study evaluated the effect of lycopene intake on the changes of glycaemic status and antioxidant capacity among the T2DM patients. ⋯ T2DM patients with a higher lycopene intake showed a greater peripheral antioxidant capacity and better glycaemic control. Lycopene may act to ameliorate oxidative stress and improve the pathophysiology of T2DM.

Patients appear to maintain sequelae post-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) affecting daily life and physical health. We investigated the changes in and the effects of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) on exercise capacity and immunology six months after COVID-19 hospitalization. ⋯ These findings suggest PR may be a strategy to promote the improvement of exercise capacity after COVID-19.
