Although several predictors of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy have been identified, the role of physical health and, particularly, mental health, is poorly understood. ⋯ People with a physical condition were more likely to take up the potential offer of a COVID-19 vaccination. These effects were not apparent for indices of mental health.Key messagesIn understanding predictors of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy, the role of physical and mental health has not been well-examined despite both groups seemingly experiencing an elevated risk of the disease. In a large UK cohort study, people with a pre-pandemic physical condition were more likely to take up the theoretical offer of vaccination. There were no apparent effects for indices of pre-pandemic mental health.

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is associated with progressive dyspnoea and exercise intolerance, but despite the central role of physiotherapy on pulmonary rehabilitation, there is a huge lack of physiotherapy approaches used specifically for LAM patients. ⋯ Endurance and resistance training is the keystone for physiotherapy in patients with LAM, but despite the reported benefits, there is a huge lack of studies related to the modalities, safety and dosage of physiotherapy prescription for patients with LAM.KEY MESSAGESLymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a rare disease, leads to progressive dyspnoea and exercise intolerance;Physiotherapy can improve dyspnoea and exercise intolerance in LAM through endurance and resistance exercises.

To describe the demographic clinical characteristics and to identify the risk factors of patients diagnosed with fungemia and secondary intraocular involvement. ⋯ In this first cohort carried out in Colombia according to our search, findings were obtained that agree with those of other authors worldwide, where there is no evidence of a decrease in incidence compared with older studies and the absence of risk factors for the compromise of the posterior pole in patients with fungemia.KEY MESSAGESSystematic fundus evaluation by an ophthalmologist in patients with candidaemia is a recommended practice based on low-quality evidence. The identification of real risk factors for retinal compromise in fungemia would allow us to be more selective with the population to be evaluated.Fungemia generally occurs in critically ill patients, where access and availability of ophthalmology evaluation are a resource that is not always available.

There is a lack of effective treatment to improve the prognosis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). Programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1)-targeted immunotherapy has shown promising results in a variety of malignant tumours. However, in patients with advanced ICC, the safety and efficacy of anti-PD-1 agents remain unclear. ⋯ PD-1-targeted immunotherapy showed promising efficacy and safety in advanced ICC patients.Key messagesPD-1-targeted immunotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for advanced ICC patients. This study provides therapeutic strategy for advanced ICC patients.

Despite abundant evidence linking dyslipidaemia to an increased risk of hyperuricaemia, the exact association between each component of dyslipidaemia and hyperuricaemia remains controversial. Thus, the objective of this research was to examine the correlation between dyslipidaemia and its components, as well as hyperuricaemia in Chinese people over the age of 60. ⋯ Dyslipidaemia and its two distinct types, high TG and low HDL-C, increased hyperuricaemia incidence in this prospective cohort. Further research should be undertaken to investigate the possible reverse causality between different components of dyslipidaemia and hyperuricaemia.
