Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the most prevalent type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, exhibits significant correlations with efferocytosis-related molecules (ERMs) concerning invasion, metastasis, and clinical outcomes. This study aims to establish an efferocytosis-related gene signature specifically linked to DLBCL. ⋯ The prognostic signature comprised of SNRPB and CEP290 based on ERMs-DEGs was established, providing a theoretical basis and reference value for DLBCL research.

To probe the expression, clinical significance, roles, and molecular mechanisms of circRNA_000166 in breast cancer (BC). ⋯ CircRNA_000166 enhances BC progression through miR-326/ELK1 and miR-330-5p/ELK1 pathways and shows potential as a biomarker for BC diagnosis and treatment.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, threatening both physical and mental health. The epidemiological evidence for association between sleep duration, depression and breast cancer is inconsistent. The aim of this study was to determine the association between them and build machine-learning algorithms to predict breast cancer. ⋯ No significant association was observed between sleep duration and breast cancer, and participants with depression were associated with an increased risk for breast cancer. This finding provides new clues into the relationship between breast cancer and depression and sleep duration, and provides potential evidence for subsequent studies of pathological mechanisms.

The construction of a robust healthcare information system is fundamental to enhancing countries' capabilities in the surveillance and control of hepatitis B virus (HBV). Making use of China's rapidly expanding primary healthcare system, this innovative approach using big data and machine learning (ML) could help towards the World Health Organization's (WHO) HBV infection elimination goals of reaching 90% diagnosis and treatment rates by 2030. We aimed to develop and validate HBV detection models using routine clinical data to improve the detection of HBV and support the development of effective interventions to mitigate the impact of this disease in China. ⋯ Suspected case detection models of HBV, showing potential for clinical deployment, have been developed to improve HBV surveillance in primary care setting in China. Serum fibrinogen/albumin ratio (FAR) is a new inflammatory marker related to a variety of diseases, and it has been shown to be associated with stroke. This study is to investigate the relationship between serum FAR and early neurological deterioration (END) in patients with recent small subcortical infarction (RSSI). ⋯ Elevated FAR levels were associated with the occurrence of END within seven days after admission in RSSI patients, especially in men, age ≤65 years, or patients without smoking history.
