Case ReportsPathogenesis And Radiological Findings In Rare Case Of Salter Harris Type I Distal Tibial Fracture With Associated Osteonecrosis In The Paediatric Population.
Salter-Harris type I fractures of the distal tibia are commonly seen in paediatrics and management of such fractures follows an algorithm established in the literature. Despite this, osteonecrosis of the distal tibia can subsequently develop. Osteonecrosis or avascular necrosis is cell death that occurs secondary to trauma, metabolic disturbances, sickle cell disease, or medication side effect. ⋯ Radiographs and MRI are pivotal in making a timely diagnosis in order to minimize patient discomfort. To the best of our knowledge, there has only been one previous documented case of osteonecrosis following a Salter Harris Type I distal tibial fracture. Here, we present the second such case.

Mean Tip-Apex Distance In Lag Screw Cut-Out After Dynamic Hip Screw Fixation Of Hip Fracture.
To determine mean tip-apex distance after Dynamic Hip Screw fixation of intertrochanteric fracture. ⋯ To avoid lag screw cut out in dynamic hip screw for intertrochanteric fracture of hip the Tip apex distance must be accurate otherwise there will be cut out of lag screw.

Multicenter StudyUndergraduate Implant Dentistry Training In Saudi Dental Schools.
Implant dentistry training at the undergraduate level has been introduced only recently in Saudi dental schools and there is only limited data available about it. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the current status of undergraduate dental implant education in Saudi Dental Schools. ⋯ The present study revealed variability in undergraduate implant dentistry training offered at Saudi dental schools. In order to optimize this and to produce competent dentists, learning guidelines for such courses should be developed and implemented by competent authorities.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyAnalgesic Effect Of Bilateral Subcostal Tap Block After Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.
Pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy is mild to moderate in intensity. Several modalities are employed for achieving safe and effective postoperative analgesia, the benefits of which adds to the early recovery of the patients. As a part of multimodal analgesia, various approaches of Transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block has been used for management of parietal and incisional components of pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This study was designed to compare the analgesic efficacy of two different approaches of ultrasound guided TAP block, i.e., Subcostal-TAP block technique with ultrasound guided Posterior-TAP block for postoperative pain management in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia. ⋯ Ultrasound guided subcostal TAP block provides better postoperative analgesia as compared to the Posterior TAP block in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Otherwise both of the approaches improve patient outcomes towards early recovery and discharge from hospital.

Transfusion-Related Acute Lung Injury In A Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Of Pakistan.
Transfusion-Related Acute Lung Injury (TRALI) is a major cause of transfusionrelated morbidity and mortality in the intensive care unit setting. There is a paucity of such data from Pakistan. The purpose of this study is to assess the incidence and outcome of TRALI in critically ill children admitted in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) of Pakistan. ⋯ The incidence of TRALI in critically ill children is low, but is associated with high mortality. Critically ill children with high PRISM-III score, postoperative cardiac surgical and hematology-oncology patients are often affected by TRALI.
