MRI measurements of intracranial pressure in the upright posture: The effect of the hydrostatic pressure gradient.
To add the hydrostatic component of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-derived intracranial pressure (ICP) measurements in the upright posture for derivation of pressure value in a central cranial location often used in invasive ICP measurements. ⋯ In the upright posture, the hydrostatic pressure component needs to be added to the MRI-derived ICP values for compatibility with invasive ICP at a central cranial location.

Diffusion tensor imaging and T2 mapping in early denervated skeletal muscle in rats.
To evaluate the temporal changes of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) indices, T2 values, and visual signal intensity on various fat suppression techniques in the early state of denervated skeletal muscle in a rat model. ⋯ FA and T2 values can demonstrate the early temporal changes in denervated rat skeletal muscle.

2D phase-sensitive inversion recovery imaging to measure in vivo spinal cord gray and white matter areas in clinically feasible acquisition times.
To present and assess a procedure for measurement of spinal cord total cross-sectional areas (TCA) and gray matter (GM) areas based on phase-sensitive inversion recovery imaging (PSIR). In vivo assessment of spinal cord GM and white matter (WM) could become pivotal to study various neurological diseases, but it is challenging because of insufficient GM/WM contrast provided by conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ 2D PSIR allows reliable in vivo assessment of spinal cord TCA, GM, and WM areas in clinically feasible acquisition times. The area measurements presented here are in agreement with previous MRI and postmortem studies.

3 Tesla high-resolution and delayed gadolinium enhanced MR imaging of cartilage (dGEMRIC) after autologous chondrocyte transplantation in the hip.
To evaluate the feasibility of 3 Tesla (T) high-resolution and gadolinium enhanced MRI of cartilage (dGEMRIC) in the thin and rounded hip cartilage of patients after acetabular matrix-based autologous chondrocyte transplantation (MACT). ⋯ High-resolution PDw imaging with adapted MOCART scoring and dGEMRIC is feasible after MACT in the thin and rounded hip cartilage.

Comparative StudyDiffusion weighted images of metastatic as compared with nonmetastatic axillary lymph nodes in patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer.
To investigate the ability of diffusion weighted images (DWI) to differentiate between metastatic and nonmetastatic axillary lymph nodes (LNs) in patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer. ⋯ There is a statistically significant difference between the ADC values of pathologically proven metastatic LNs and nonmetastatic LNs. DWI and ADC values are a useful tool for differentiating metastatic from nonmetastatic axillary LNs.
