Correlation of volume transfer coefficient Ktrans with histopathologic grades of gliomas.
To evaluate the roles of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) and optimum tracer kinetic parameters in the noninvasive grading of the glial brain tumors with histopathological grades (I-IV). ⋯ K(trans) is the most sensitive and specific parameter in noninvasive grading, distinguishing the high (III and IV) from the low (I and II) grade and high grade III from low grade II gliomas.

Test-retest stability analysis of resting brain activity revealed by blood oxygen level-dependent functional MRI.
To assess test-retest stability of four functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)-derived resting brain activity metrics: the seed-region-based functional connectivity (SRFC), independent component analysis (ICA)-derived network-based FC (NTFC), regional homogeneity (ReHo), and the amplitude of low frequency fluctuation (ALFF). ⋯ SRFC, ReHo, and ALFF are robust to random noise interference. The neighborhood size for calculating ReHo should be larger than 20 voxels. ICC > 0.5 and cluster size > 11 should be used to assess the ICC maps for ACC/PCC SRFC, ReHo, and ALFF. BOLD fMRI-based SBA can be reliably measured using ACC/PCC SRFC, ReHo, and ALFF after 2 months.

Free-breathing 3D whole-heart black-blood imaging with motion sensitized driven equilibrium.
To assess the efficacy and robustness of motion sensitized driven equilibrium (MSDE) for blood suppression in volumetric 3D whole-heart cardiac MR. ⋯ MSDE-prep allows volumetric black-blood imaging of the heart.

Comparative StudyClinical utility of apparent diffusion coefficient values obtained using high b-value when diagnosing prostate cancer using 3 tesla MRI: comparison between ultra-high b-value (2000 s/mm²) and standard high b-value (1000 s/mm²).
To determine whether the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) obtained using b = 2000 s/mm(2) upon 3 Tesla (T) diffusion-weighted MRI is superior to b = 1000 s/mm(2) for discriminating malignant from normal prostate tissue and predicting the aggressiveness of prostate cancer, using histopathological findings of radical prostatectomy as a reference. ⋯ For 3T MRI, ADCs using b = 0,2000 are more accurate than b = 0,1000 for diagnosing PZ cancer, and as accurate for TZ cancer.

Comparative StudyDifferent signal intensity at Gd-EOB-DTPA compared with Gd-DTPA-enhanced MRI in hepatocellular carcinoma transgenic mouse model in delayed phase hepatobiliary imaging.
To evaluate hyperintense Gd-DTPA- compared with hyper- and hypointense Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced magnet resonance imaging (MRI) in c-myc/TGFα transgenic mice for detecting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). ⋯ Gd-EOB-DTPA is superior to Gd-DTPA for detecting HCC in contrast agent-enhanced MRI in the c-myc/TGFα transgenic mouse model and there was no difference between the hyperintense or hypointense appearance of HCC. Either way, HCCs can easily be distinguished from liver parenchyma in mice.
