Intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma: Is there a correlation with flow and perfusion metrics obtained with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI?
To assess the correlation between intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging (IVIM-DWI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) metrics in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver parenchyma. ⋯ IVIM-DWI and DCE-MRI provide nonredundant information in HCC, while they correlate in liver parenchyma. These findings may be secondary to predominant portal inflow in the liver and tortuous vasculature and tissue heterogeneity in tumors. J. MAGN. RESON. IMAGING 2016;44:856-864.

Clinical TrialMRI-guided celiac plexus neurolysis for pancreatic cancer pain: Efficacy and safety.
To prospectively determine the efficacy and safety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided celiac plexus neurolysis (CPN) for pancreatic cancer pain. ⋯ MRI-guided CPN appears to be an effective and minimally invasive procedure for palliative pain management of pancreatic cancer. J. MAGN. RESON. IMAGING 2016;44:923-928.

Improved cerebrospinal fluid suppression for intracranial vessel wall MRI.
To develop and assess a three-dimensional (3D) high resolution black blood MRI (BBMRI) method for evaluation of intracranial vessels with improved cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suppression. ⋯ The 3D ADE-BBMRI provides excellent blood and CSF suppression, and accurate measurements of intracranial vessels at 0.5 mm isotropic resolution in 5 min. Its clinical application may provide insight into stroke risk. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:665-672.

Initial experience of generalized intravoxel incoherent motion imaging and diffusion tensor imaging (GIVIM-DTI) in healthy subjects.
To evaluate the feasibility of combined generalized intravoxel incoherent imaging and diffusion tensor imaging (GIVIM-DTI) to access the renal microstructure and microcirculation with respiratory triggering. ⋯ GIVIM-DTI shows promise for advancing the characterization of the renal microstructure and microcirculation. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:732-738.

Diffusion-weighted multiparametric MRI for monitoring longitudinal changes of parameters in rabbit VX2 liver tumors.
To investigate the value of different quantitative models of diffusion-weighted multiparametric imaging (DW-MPI) including traditional as well as several advanced models for monitoring the longitudinal parameter changes in rabbit liver VX2 carcinoma and for correlating the perfusion-related imaging parameters to vascularity of tumor tissue. ⋯ ADC, f, and KDKI were identified as the most promising parameters for monitoring changes in rabbit liver VX2 carcinoma and f and ADC showed highest correlation with MVD. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2016;44:707-714.
