Review Meta AnalysisPrenatal identification of invasive placentation using magnetic resonance imaging: systematic review and meta-analysis.
To assess systematically the performance of prenatal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in diagnosing the presence, degree and topography of disorders of invasive placentation and to explore the role of the different MRI signs in predicting these disorders. The diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound and MRI in the detection of invasive placentation was also compared. ⋯ Prenatal MRI is highly accurate in diagnosing disorders of invasive placentation. Ultrasound and MRI have comparable predictive accuracy. Large population-based studies are needed in order to assess whether ultrasound can predict the depth and topography of placental invasion as reliably as can MRI.

ReviewWhich factors are associated with trainees' confidence in performing obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations?
To explore the association between clinical training characteristics and trainees' level of confidence in performing ultrasound scans independently. ⋯ Clinical experience and time spent in specialized ultrasound units were predictors of trainees' confidence in performing ultrasonography independently. Discrepancies between trainees' confidence and their expected levels of performance raised concerns about the adequacy of current ultrasound training programs.

ReviewNon-invasive prenatal testing for fetal chromosomal abnormalities by low-coverage whole-genome sequencing of maternal plasma DNA: review of 1982 consecutive cases in a single center.
To review the performance of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) by low-coverage whole-genome sequencing of maternal plasma DNA at a single center. ⋯ Low-coverage whole-genome sequencing of maternal plasma DNA was highly accurate in detecting common trisomies. It also enabled the detection of other aneuploidies and structural chromosomal abnormalities with high positive predictive value.

Review Meta AnalysisPrenatal identification of invasive placentation using ultrasound: systematic review and meta-analysis.
The accuracy of prospective sonographic prenatal detection of invasive placentation is unclear. The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the performance of ultrasound in at-risk women for prenatal identification of invasive placentation. ⋯ Ultrasound has a high accuracy for prenatal diagnosis of disorders of invasive placentation in high-risk women. The use of color Doppler improves the test performance.
