[Information given to patients and their participation in clinical decision-making].
To evaluate the information provided by physicians during consultations, the information requested by patients, and patients' participation in decision-making. ⋯ The information provided by the physician was not as complete as it might have been. Patients usually ask few questions, and a large percentage of patients had something they wished they had asked about, or did not fully understand the information. Patients' participation in decision-making was low.

[Impact of a program to improve appropriate prescribing of medications in residential facilities for older persons. Results after one year].
To evaluate the impact after one year of a program to improve appropriate prescribing of medications, medical care products and supplies at a group of residential centers for older persons. ⋯ The preliminary results of the program show it to be effective in improving the efficiency of drug prescribing at participating nursing homes. The research method was useful in promoting the rational use of medications and improving the quality of prescribing practices.

[Induced prescription from reference hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron to general practitioners].
Our objectives were to describe proportion of patients with induced prescription (IP) from reference hospital, the information about diagnosis and treatment that GP get as well as their agreement with the prescription. We also analyzed the quality of IP assessed by GP's quality of prescription criteria. ⋯ A stronger relation between GP's and hospital doctors would be needed to establish common treatments for patients' frequent conditions and their follow-up.

OBJECTIVE. To know the proportion of people with positive result in test. Design. Cross sectional study in 53 health centers. SETTING. Primary care. ⋯ The cognitive deterioration prevalence increases with age and it is less frequent in individuals with higher studies Using MMSE and Set-Test we found several possible cases of cognitive deterioration in our population.

[Models to explain and predict medical case-loads: their use in calculating the maximum family medicine list that allows at least ten minutes per consultation].
To calculate the maximum family medicine list that gives at least ten minutes per consultation.Design. Transversal. ⋯ To a great extent, age explains the variability in case-load and lets us calculate the maximum number of patients on the list that still ensures a minimum time for each consultation.
