[Evaluation of a training model for health professionals in the care of critical patients: AIPCAP Study].
To evaluate the validity, acceptability, and impact on the level of knowledge and skills of Primary Care health professionals of a training model aimed at improving the care of critical patients. ⋯ A training methodology in the management of emergencies in Primary Care based on simulations is valid, reliable and well accepted, achieving an improvement in the level of knowledge and skills of the participating professionals.

[Influence of gender on protective and vulnerability factors, adherence and quality of life in patients with cardiovascular disease].
To examine gender differences on specific protective factors (PF: acceptance and resilience), vulnerability factors (VF: anger, depression, and anxiety; adherence to treatment and quality of life (QoL) in cardiovascular patients, as well as to study separately the relationships of these factors with adherence and QoL in females and males. ⋯ Gender differences in QoL, some VF, and adherence are observed, in addition to the beneficial role of Acceptance in women.

[Accomplishment of preventive activities proposed by resident doctors of Family Medicine in Primary Care and its relationship with communication skills].
To determine the offer of preventive activities by resident physicians of family medicine in the Primary Care consultations and the relation with their communication habilities. ⋯ Preventive activities are carried out in almost half of the consultations, although focused on advice and screening and linked to the patient's demand. Consultation time and communication skills favor a greater preventive offer.

To estimate the prevalence of use of progestin-only contraceptive among women who request reversible contraception in Primary Care (PC). ⋯ The prevalence of use for progestins was 14%, satisfaction was very high for all contraceptive methods. The user profile for the only progestins-only corresponds to older, and non-Spanish women with conditions such as breastfeeding or contraindications for other contraceptives.

[Primary Care and oral health promotion: Assessment of an educational intervention in school children].
To evaluate the short and medium term effectiveness of a Primary Care-driven oral health promotion intervention. ⋯ School-based educational interventions, when developed through an intersectoral and participative approach and considering the socio-economic context, appear to be effective in improving students' diet-related knowledge and behaviors.
