Effects of a home-based nursing intervention programme among adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
To investigate the effects of a home-based nursing intervention programme established based on the Health Promotion Model on the health outcomes of adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. ⋯ The home-based nursing intervention programme can be applied by nurses to ease the transition of adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus and their parents to healthy daily life practices and ensure their glycemic controls after being discharged.

Prerequisites for safe intraoperative nursing care and teamwork-Operating theatre nurses' perspectives: A qualitative interview study.
To describe operating theatre nurses' experience of preconditions for safe intraoperative nursing care and teamwork. ⋯ The operating theatre nurses need a reliable preoperative overall picture in advance, to be able to be well prepared for the patients' surgery. The overall picture should be based on adequate data about the patients' health status and needs, details about the surgical intervention and prescriptions.

Exploring the needs of parents who experience miscarriage in the emergency department: A qualitative study with parents and nurses.
To understand how parents experienced miscarriage in an emergency department setting. Objectives were to identify parents' needs, isolate factors that influenced their experience, and provide recommendations to improve care from the perspective of women, their partners, nurses and nurse managers. ⋯ Nurses have an important role to play in improving parents' experience. They can do so by understanding the needs of parents and by being involved in developing new guidelines.

Current status and influencing factors of barriers to enteral feeding of critically ill patients: A multicenter study.
To investigate the barriers in administering enteral feeding to critically ill patients from the nursing perspective. Our objectives are to provide tailored interventions for addressing identified barriers and propose an optimal enteral nutrition (EN) practice in intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ The findings of this study can be used to inform future intervention and guidelines aimed at addressing these barriers systematically and improving adherence to critical care nutrition guidelines for the provision of enteral nutrition.

Rapid response teams, such as critical care outreach teams, have prominent roles in managing end-of-life transitions in critical illness, often questioning appropriateness of treatment escalation. Clinical uncertainty presents clinicians with dilemmas in how and when to escalate or de-escalate treatment.
