Case ReportsBILATERAL SEROUS CHORIORETINOPATHY AND PIGMENTARY GLAUCOMA - WHAT IS THE ASSOCIATION?
We present a patient with concurrent pigmentary glaucoma, bilateral central serous chorioretinopathy and unilateral optic disc pit, and propose a possible association of these conditions. Comprehensive ophthalmic examination of a 36-year-old man who was complaining of blurry vision and pain in the eyes showed reduced visual acuity on the left eye, elevated intraocular pressure in the right eye, bilateral signs of pigment dispersion syndrome, and bilateral central serous chorioretinopathy, combined with optic disc pit in the left eye. ⋯ Genetic and developmental anomalies of the external layer of the optic disc cup that gives rise to many anterior and posterior eye segment structures suggest a possible association of a clinical condition characterized by the combination of pigmentary glaucoma, central serous chorioretinopathy and optic disc pit. Future research would enable to determine proper diagnostic protocols, treatment and follow-up procedures for this chronic-progressive disorder.

DEPRESSION AND FATIGUE ARE DUE TO OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS.
To our knowledge, there is no study investigating whether fatigue and depression as the most commonly reported symptoms in multiple sclerosis (MS) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients have arisen from primary mechanisms of MS or from secondary associated conditions such as OSA in MS patients. The aim of our survey study was to determine whether depression and fatigue in MS patients were associated with clinical features of OSA or with MS. We conducted a self-administered survey using four validated questionnaires (STOP-BANG, Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Fatigue Severity Scale and The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale-Revised) in 28 consecutive outpatients with proven MS. ⋯ Finally, a significant positive correlation was found between fatigue severity and level of depressive symptoms (p=0.003). OSA is a common disorder in MS patients. The clinical features and risk factors for OSA in MS patients are associated with the two most commonly reported symptoms of depression and fatigue, thus supporting the hypothesis that both symptoms are due to a secondary condition in MS.

AIRWAY MANAGEMENT IN LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY - A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS.
In this study, we aimed to compare supraglottic airway devices (Supreme and i-gel laryngeal mask) with tracheal tube with respect to airway control and efficiency in ventilation and oxygenation. The study included 325 patients of ASA I-II who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In group 1, the airway was secured using endotracheal intubation (115 patients). ⋯ Comparison of oropharyngeal seal pressure between group 2 (35.95±2.92 cm H2O) and group 3 (36.47±1.43 cm H2O) yielded no statistical difference (p=0.314, t-test). Endotracheal tube, Supreme and i-gel laryngeal masks were shown to be equally efficient in airway management in laparoscopic cholecystectomy. All three devices enabled efficient ventilation and oxygenation despite certain pathophysiological changes associated with laparoscopy.

THE EFFECT OF COVID-19 VACCINES ON PNEUMOTHORAX IN GERIATRIC PATIENTS HOSPİTALIZED IN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT DUE TO COVID-19.
In our study, we examined the effect of COVID-19 vaccination on the incidence of pneumothorax in intensive care patients over age 65. COVID-19 intensive care patients that presented to our department between April 2020 and May 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic were evaluated retrospectively. Patients were divided into two main groups, i.e., before and after the vaccination period. ⋯ We think that mortality due to pneumothorax in patients over 65 years of age was lower during the vaccination period. In addition, we think that bilateral pneumothorax was more common in the non-vaccinated period. As a result, we think that life-threatening pneumothorax and similar complications could be reduced by increasing the number of vaccines made in the COVID-19 pandemic and spreading it around the world.

The aim of the study was to investigate the sexuality of individuals undergoing in vitro fertilization as one of the methods of infertility treatment. The focus was on sexual dysfunction, sexual satisfaction and associated risk factors. Data were collected based on a validated, standardized procedure. ⋯ There was a correlation between infertility, associated treatment, and sexuality. Infertility and involvement in treatment procedures increased the risk of sexual dysfunction. The risk factors identified in our study could help facilitate detection and timely treatment of sexual dysfunction, which would help maintain healthy sexuality in couples participating in in vitro fertilization procedures.
