Case ReportsRhinocerebral Mucormycosis in a COVID-19 Patient from Nepal: A Case Report.
With the surge of cases during the second wave of COVID-19 in Nepal, a number of mucormycosis coinfection cases have also come to our attention. We present a case of a 65-year-old female who was admitted to our emergency department with complaints of pain, swelling, and tingling sensation of the left side of the face along with blood-tinged nasal discharge for 20 days. ⋯ She was diagnosed with rhinocerebral mucormycosis and managed with systemic antifungal therapy and insulin. As per the treatment modality, surgical debridement could not be done because the patient did not give consent.

Child Sexual Abuse among School Children of a Municipality: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Sexual abuse remains a hidden and underreported form of violence against children and a serious public health concern. Although it results in severe mental, physical, and psychological risks with consequences such as depression, fear, and low self-esteem, it is still an unexplored and less prioritized area in Nepal. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of Child Sexual Abuse among school children of a municipality. ⋯ According to the findings of this study, child sexual abuse is seen as a significant issue in the place studied. Awareness programs on child sexual abuse should be organized targeting children along with parents and community people.

Histopathology of Sinonasal and Nasopharyngeal Neoplastic Lesions in a Tertiary Care Center of Western Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Sinonasal and nasopharyngeal regions harbor diverse clinical conditions including many non-neoplastic and neoplastic lesions presenting with nasal obstruction, facial pain and swelling, rhinorrhea, epistaxis, and other oral, ear, and orbital symptoms. Histopathology of excised lesions is the mainstay for the definitive diagnosis and management of neoplastic lesions. The aim of this study is to find out the prevalence of neoplastic lesions among sinonasal and nasopharyngeal masses. ⋯ This study observed a variety of neoplastic lesions. The most common benign lesion was nasal polyp and squamous cell carcinoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma were the most common malignant lesions.

ReviewPharmacological Treatment for the Management of COVID 19: A Narrative Review.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections is alarming worldwide incurring tremendous loss of life and possession. Individuals are facing a terrible pandemic condition in the absence of appropriate medicines and vaccines to combat SARS-CoV-2 infection. ⋯ Preliminary results on the efficacy of some existing anti-viral agents were found, however, promising data on effective treatment regimen for COVID 19 are yet to be obtained. This review examines various drugs and their mechanism of actions which are currently used in clinical trials or may be used to treat COVID-19 in the near future.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury and its Rehabilitation in Nepal.
Anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most common ligaments to get injured especially in athletic population. It is a band of dense connective tissue which arises from the antero-medial aspect of the inter condylar area on the tibial plateau and passes upwards and backwards to attach to the posteromedial aspect of the lateral femoral condyle. ⋯ Factors like over use, inadequate recovery time, playing surface, fitness incompatibility are involved in the increase of anterior cruciate ligament injury among athletes in Nepal. Treatment approach for anterior cruciate ligament injury is ever evolving with regular studies and innovation, but constant guidance and rehabilitation in an institution-based setting have shown positive feedback in recovery and return to play.
