To generate an up-to-date bundle to manage acute biliary pancreatitis using an evidence-based, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted GRADE method. ⋯ We have developed a new care bundle with 7 key elements for managing patients with acute biliary pancreatitis. This new bundle, whose scientific strength has been increased thanks to the alliance between human knowledge and AI from the new ChatGPT software, should be introduced to emergency departments, wards, and intensive care units.

To characterize hospital-level professional networks of physicians caring for older trauma patients as a function of trauma patient age distribution. ⋯ Characteristics of professional networks among physicians caring for injured older adults are associated with the hospital-level proportion of trauma patients who are older, indicating differences in practice patterns at hospitals with older trauma populations. Associations between interspecialty collaboration and patient outcomes should be explored as an opportunity to improve the treatment of injured older adults.

The aim of this study was to determine the genuine prognostic relevance of primary tumor sidedness (PTS) in patients with early-stage colorectal cancer (CRC). ⋯ PTS had no impact on the risk of recurrence for stage II/III CRC. Treatment stratification based on PTS is unnecessary for early-stage CRC.

Short Postoperative Intravenous Versus Oral Antibacterial Therapy in Complicated Acute Appendicitis - A Pilot Non-Inferiority Randomized Trial.
The purpose of this study is to investigate noninferiority of postoperative oral administration of antibiotics in complicated appendicitis. ⋯ In the current pilot randomized controlled trial, the 24-hour oral antibiotic administration resulted in noninferior outcomes when compared with the 24-hour intravenous administration of antibiotics after laparoscopic appendectomy in complicated appendicitis.

Nationwide use and outcome of Minimally Invasive Distal Pancreatectomy in IDEAL Stage IV following a Training Program and Randomized Trial.
To assess the nationwide long-term uptake and outcomes of minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy (MIDP) after a nationwide training program and randomized trial. ⋯ A sustained nationwide implementation of MIDP after a successful training program and randomized trial was obtained with satisfactory outcomes. Future studies should assess the considerable variation in the use of MIDP between centers and, especially, robotic MIDP.
