Chest CT Severity Score as an Auxiliary Grading Tool to COVID-19 Pneumonia Imaging Classification: A Tertiary Care Experience in Pakistan.
To identify utility of chest computed tomography severity score (CT-SS) as an additional tool to COVID-19 pneumonia imaging classification in assessing severity of COVID-19. ⋯ In coherence with COVID-19 pneumonia imaging classification, CT-SS may provide a comprehensive and objective assessment of COVID-19 severity. Effect of Strict Lockdown on Pediatric Surgical Services and Residency Programme during COVID-19 Pandemic.
To document the measures adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic strict lockdown on pediatric surgical services and residents' training at a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ COVID-19 pandemic elective surgical services were restricted; however, emergency cases were managed as per routine. In clinical teaching, virtual technologies were incorporated. Working hours of residents were limited to decrease the exposure to infected persons. Case ReportsCOVID-19-related Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome in an Adult ICU Patient in Ireland.
Radiologically confirmed, novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related neurological manifestations are being reported with increasing frequency since the outbreak of the disease. We describe a 54-year-old male with COVID-19, who demonstrated radiological and clinical findings of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome(PRES). The proposed mechanism suggested for COVID-19-related PRES is a disease induced inflammatory storm, which causes endothelial injury, resulting in endothelialdysfunction (ED), interstitial fluid extravasation and cerebral edema. Predictors of Mortality in Patients with COVID-19 Infection-associated Acute Kidney Injury.
To determine clinical characteristics, renal replacement therapy (RRT) requirements, and predictors of mortality in critically ill patients with COVID-19 associated AKI. ⋯ In critically ill patients with COVID-19 pneumonia, who developed AKI, it was seen that the presence of low albumin, high LDH, and stage 3 AKI at the time of admission could be used as predictors of mortality. Moreover,, it was shown for the first time that in these patients, the high CRP/albumin ratio and low RDW could be associated with mortality. Key Words: Acute kidney injury, Mortality, COVID-19.

ABSTARCT Four hundred and fifty-three SARS CoV-2 antibodies tests were conducted using Roche Elecsys® Anti SARS CoV-2 kits (detecting total antibodies) between June 13 to July 8, 2020 (25 days) on Cobas® e411 automatic analyser, based on electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) principle. Samples were collected from walk-in patients at our facility. Among them, 2 (0.4%) were found equivocal, 289 (63.8%) were found reactive, while 162 (35.8%) were found non-reactive. ⋯ Most common symptom was fever, found in 262 (87.9%) individuals, followed by dry cough 146 (49.0%). Most number of reactive cases, i.e. 110 (42.6%) were those who got themselves tested between 15-21 days after onset of first symptom. Key Words: COVID-19, Coronavirus, Antibodies testing.
