Observational StudyAnalysis of Risk Factors for Rectus Sheath Hematoma.
To evaluate the risk factors for developing rectus sheath hematoma (RSH). ⋯ Risk factors of RSH include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, asthma, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, prior abdominal surgery, female sex, older age, anticoagulant drug use and cancer-related immunosuppression. Key Words: Rectus sheath hematoma, Conservative treatment, Anticoagulant treatment.

Oxidative Stress in Intoxıcation Type Inborn Errors of Metabolism using Thiol-Disulfide Ratio.
To determine the relationship of oxidative stress status with follow-up parameters, metabolic control status, and treatment compliance evaluation in patients diagnosed within toxication type inherited metabolic disease (IMDs). ⋯ Metabolic control status and compliance with treatment are related to oxidative stress level, showing thiol/disulfide balance in urea cycle defects, phenylketonuria, and galactosemia patients. Key Words: Thiol / disulfide, Metabolic diseases, MSUD, Galactosemia, Hyperammonemia.

Problem-based Learning and Team-based Learning as a Novel Package Approach.
To identify the insights of dentistry students towards a new 3/1 problem-based learning (PBL) and team-based learning (TBL) blended package approach. ⋯ Students valued the novel PBL-TBL package as an optimum learning approach. They predominantly voted in favour of TBL. Students further identified the sequence and format of the current approach conducive to learning, feedback and assessment. Key Words: Hybrid curriculum, Team-based learning, Problem-based learning, Blended learning, Innovative instructional strategy.

Case ReportsTopiramate-induced Acute Transient Myopia and Angle Narrowing.
Sulphamate drugs, widely prescribed for various systemic conditions, are reported to have rare ocular adverse-effects, usually within weeks of initiation of treatment. Medical and drug history in such cases are of pivotal importance in reaching a proper diagnosis. This study reports three cases, which developed topiramate-induced ocular side effects. ⋯ Also, in the third case, there were no macular striae. Topiramate was immediately withheld and all cases were improved without any permanent ocular damage. Key Words: Sulphamate, Topiramate, Angle closure glaucoma, Myopia.

Observational StudyRelationship between Vitamin D Deficiency, Albuminuria, Peripheral Artery Disease and 5-year Mortality in Chronic Kidney Disease.
To investigate the effects of vitamin D deficiency, albuminuria and peripheral artery disease (PAD) relationships, on 5-year mortality in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) . ⋯ A total of 110 CKD patients, mean age of 62.1±9.7 years, 36.4% women, were included in the study. It was found that 17.3% of the patients had vitamin D deficiency, 15.4% had vitamin D insufficiency, 32.7% had asymptomatic PAD, 33.9% had microalbuminuria and 39.4% had macroalbuminuria. It was observed that as vitamin D levels decreased, the frequency of albuminuria, and the prevalence of PAD, was on an increasing trend. A significant correlation was found between 5-year mortality, gender, body mass index (BMI), glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), urine albumin creatinine ratio (UACR), hemoglobin A1c (A1c), calcium (Ca), phosphate (P), vitamin D, ankle brachial index (ABI), and the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) as a result of univariate cox-regressionanalysis. In the multivariate cox-regression model, it was observed that vitamin D, ABI and UACR levels continued being significant, independent of age, gender, BMI and eGFR levels. Conclusion: Vitamin D deficiency, PAD and albuminuria, which are separate predictors of mortality, were shown to be independent predictors of long-term mortality in CKD patients. Key Words: Chronic kidney disease, Mortality, Peripheral arterial disease, Vitamin D deficiency, Albuminuria, Ankle-brachial index.
