Case ReportsDouble Peptic Ulcer Perforation due to Cumulative Effects of Post-surgery Stress and NSAIDs: A Rare Event in Surgical Practice.
Peptic ulcer disease affects a large number of people around the world. Complications occur in 10-20% of patients and perforation develops in 2-14% of the cases. It can either be in the pyloric part of the stomach or in the first part of duodenum. ⋯ This patient presented with double peptic ulcer perforation in emergency due to post-surgery stress. Case ReportsA Difficult Route for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: Single Coronary Artery Anomaly.
Coronary artery anomalies (CAA) are frequently asymptomatic clinical entities, associated with variable prognosis. Single coronary artery anomaly is a rare type of coronary anatomy anomaly with little data in the literature. Although prognostic data are not clear, it is thought that the course of anomalous artery is the most important determinant. ⋯ In this report, we present a case of a single coronary artery undergoing percutaneous revascularisation with an alternative technique of advancing a guidewire into the anomalous left main coronary artery and then crossing the culprit lesion in the left anterior descending artery. This report highlights the importance of catheter stabilisation during percutaneous revascularisation with a simple yet very practical solution. Key Words: Coronary angiography, Coronary vessel anomalies, Myocardial infarction, Percutaneous coronary intervention.

Case ReportsA Large Hydatid Cyst in the Brain of a 10-year Child.
Hydatid cyst is the larval form of the parasite, echinococcus granulosus. We operated upon a case of a giant hydatid cyst in the left cerebral hemisphere of a 10-year male child. The patient presented to us with a history of headache, vomiting, vertigo and difficulty in walking. ⋯ Albendazole was given postoperatively for a period of one month. The follow-up CT scan, performed after three months, showed complete resolution of the disease. Key Words: Hydatid cyst, Echinococcus granulosus, Brain, Children.

Kleefstra syndrome (KS), previously referred to as 9q subtelomeric deletion syndrome (9qSTDS), is characterised by moderate to severe developmental delay/mental retardation, childhood hypotonia, and brachy-microcephaly (main clinical phenotype), midface hypoplasia, prognathism, lip and eyebrow shape anomalies. The true prevalence of KS is unknown, but it is estimated that it occurs with a frequency of 1/200.000 in cases with mental retardation. On literature search, approximately 110 patients have been reported so far. Genetic analysis should be planned and interdisciplinary monitoring should be provided in cases suspected to have KS. Key Words: Child, Genetic disorder, Kleefstra Syndrome, Dysmorphism.
