Well-Being and Education of Urology Residents During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Results of an American National Survey.
The rapid spread of COVID-19 has placed tremendous strain on the American healthcare system. Few prior studies have evaluated the well-being of or changes to training for American resident physicians during the COVID-19 pandemic. We aim to study predictors of trainee well-being and changes to clinical practice using an anonymous survey of American urology residents. ⋯ Several potential actions, which could be taken by urology residency programme directors and hospital administration, may optimise urology resident well-being, morale, and education. These include advocating for adequate access to PPE, providing support at both the residency programme and institutional levels, instituting telehealth education programmes, and fostering a sense of shared responsibility of COVID-19 patients.

Effect of an Educational Intervention on Public Knowledge, Attitudes, and Intended Practices toward Diabetes Mellitus: A quasi-experimental study.
To assess the impact of educational workshops on the knowledge, attitudes, and intended practices (KAP) of the general public towards diabetes in Jordan in terms of symptoms, risk factors, complications, and prevention. ⋯ Participants' knowledge, attitudes, and intended practices improved following a trained pharmacy led educational intervention. These encouraging results highlight the need for continuous national educational interventions about diabetes provided by trained health care professionals such as pharmacists. Future studies are needed to evaluate the impact of improved knowledge and perceptions on actual long-term practice.

The effect of subclinical hypothyroidism on body composition parameters in children.
It's known that overt hypothyroidism increases body fat content and weight. There's limited research about the effect of subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) on body composition in children and the effect of LT4 treatment. We aimed to evaluate body composition parameters in healthy subjects and in children with mild SH (MSH) and determine the effect of LT4 treatment. ⋯ The percentage of TMM in children with MSH was found lower than healthy control group. After LT4 treatment, the percentage of the FFM, TMM and TFFM were increased and the difference between percentage of TMM in children with MSH and healthy controls was insignificant. Our data indicated that MSH might be associated with early changes in body composition parameters.

Through the looking glass: Highlighting challenges facing healthcare professionals with cancer.
Little is known directly about the experiences of health professionals with cancer. Current studies mainly employ pathographies as the information source and focus on doctors experiences only. ⋯ A number of recommendations are made to support healthcare colleagues to facilitate the care offered to this group of patients.

Cardiovascular outcomes, heart failure and mortality in Type 2 diabetic patients treated with glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs): a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational cohort studies.
Cardiovascular outcomes trials (CVOTs) have assessed the effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and mortality in high cardiovascular (CV) risk populations. Observational research can provide complementary evidence about these effects in unselected populations. ⋯ Pooled results of EHDs' studies assessing GLP-1 RAs effects favoured GLP-1 RAs for all-cause mortality and MACE while were neutral for HHF. Results should be interpreted cautiously because of studies' substantial heterogeneity and limitations of observational research.
